don't know how many other people stayed up to watch this game last night but I couldn't help myself after watching a little of the first qtr.

USC did not look good, especially on offense. The only thing worse than their offense was Hawaii's! The Hawaii QB was terrible to say the least. but the USC O line wasn't far behind and neither of the SC QBs did much even when they weren't on their butts after being sacked.

If SC had played anyone even half way descent last night, I'm not sure they would have come out with a win.

I know it was the first game but wow. SC needs to get better fast or they will be in for a long season.

USC has historically had weird/bad first games against those WAC teams. If you want them to blow someone out, it's better to schedule a 'big name' opponent. That's historically speaking.

Looking at this year's team, they are incredibly thin and they need to make up their mind about a QB. They aren't horrible, but they have a lot of questions right now.

usc's O line was terrible in that game. You won't convince me that Hawaii's defense was that good. The problem was hawaii kept getting the ball back but could do absolutely nothing with it!!</t>

Very true Tim. USC's defense might have had something to do with that. I can't help but think they'll start getting real thin in the middle of the year and down the stretch.

I have a hard time believing Hawaii's defense was that good, as well.
