Actually, he will have a lot of time with his family, as does Lou Holtz. The time spent away from the family is limited to weekends and possibly Fridays. I'm sure the pay is compensatory for the time spent in the "office".
i think he's going to be great....I'm looking forward to his broadcasts. Young, energetic, knowledgeable, articulate and opinionated....what's not to like. He'll provide an insight on today's game that few can match....
Why, thank you, BT. I'm humbled by your compliment. What?.......Oh..........Urban Meyer........
Sid, you too.....I'm sure you would do as well. I think Sid and Urbie in the booth would be a great broadcast team! 8)
Urban is going to be at Notre Dame to be a guest speaker at the Coaching Clinic that they have every year. I seem to remember that Urban was in Cincy one time when Kelly was at UC, I think he was there on family business and he went over and met Kelly and watched his practices. So I imagine some relationship was formed then and why Meyer will be at the ND Coaching Clinic. I also see that Urban had to sever all his ties to Fla when he took the ESPN job. Not surprising.
