I think, if we're all honest with ourselves, have known some dudes who just get too grabby and have always been inappropriate. Uncle Joe was a fall down drunk for years, and honestly, I'd be shocked if he hadn't done some stupid stuff. Slick Willie is no surprise. The thing is, that times have changed. There was a point in time decades ago that a lot of things could be handled with a hand shake, or a threat of exposure or whatever. Now, those days seem to be catching up to a lot of these guys. I think the 'me too' campaign is rather telling. There's a lot of people who easily dismiss the claims of these women from a distance. I hope they were paying attention during the me too campaign because there was an awful lot of wives, sisters, daughters, aunts, nieces and cousins who it took a lot of courage just to admit 'me too' and it should enrage people. I know the women in my family came forward with their 'me too' and I just wish that they'd expand upon their story because I've always been a big fan of hitting people. At the same time, that's their own journey and pain that they've been living with for years, or decades. It's not really my justice to have.
My head is spinning. Watch Mad Men and tell me what is sexual harassment. I pretty much go with the assumption that most of Hollywood and a fair percentage of Congress and professional athletes run the spectrum of pigs to outright perverts. And then I plan my entertainment options accordingly.
I love these Senators on their high horses who all are condemning Moore for what he's done. Many of these same hypocrites served for years in the Senate with the esteemed Teddy Kennedy who got drunk, hit on one of his young campaign workers, drove off a bridge and while she was drowning, he took off to hide until his blood alcohol level dropped below the legal limit. I've never voted for a Democrat although I did vote for 3rd party candidates before. By and large, I vote party ticket. Living here with that faction has taught me that's a very dangerous thing. For the 1st time in my life, I am voting Democrat and doing so proudly.
