Tiger pitcher Amando Galagarraga was screwed out of a perfect game by the blues. At least the blue had the guts to admit it after the game but the video I saw it didn't even look like a close call, the Indian was out by a mile.

Too bad, baseball needs instant replay.

edit: OK it wasn't a mile, but he was OUT!!

Any chance Selig could overrule this call?

Not a chance, there is no precedent.

He not only admitted it...he really manned up to it...went to talk to Gallarraga before he (Joyce) even showered after the game...said it was the most important call of his career and he kicked the sh@t out of it.

Gotta feel badly for all involved.

You do have to give him credit for admitting his mistake.

AJ is still waiting on the Blue from '85 to man up! :)

Interesting comment that in Halladays perfect game the ump gave him and absurd strike zone. Hadn't heard that before.

I think lost, and unappreciated in all of this, is how composed Gallarraga remained...

He smiled and gave him a 'Are you effing kidding me?' look without going nuts. Composure, there's something to be said for it and there's a reason why he's in a position to throw a perfect game. These aren't accidents.

Can you imagine how long a baeball game would last with instant replay?

Damn another no hitter, this time though the guy gave up 8 walks so he was never close to a perfect game. But damn no hitters are a dime a dz this year.
