    Well you won't have Steve Alford to kick around anymore, he's going to be fired today.
    It's still a great job, history,facilities and still a lot of talent to recruit from in So. Cal and they still have a national name to work on bringing in kids outside California.

    He's been a bit of an underachiever for a while. I have heard that the way he got in with UCLA was his close ties to many AAU coaches, who he promptly burned bridges with in his first few years on the job.

    I never wanted Alford and never supported him. He was a hiring mistake. He never fit in at UCLA.
