Sports Illustrated has their football power rankings out and as usual the State of Florida has at least two teams in the top 25. Florida at number 3 And the University of South Florida at 25. That leaves Miami and FSU fighting for number 3 in the state. But since they play this year it can be decided on the field!    USF #2 In Florida
Big East had 4 teams in the top 25, WVA, Louisville, Rutgers, and USF...they are becomming a power conference. Not only are FSU and Miami not in the top 25 but neither is Notre Dame. I do expect us to finish in the top 25 though. Big 12 only has Texas, OU, and Neb in the top 25, I think Texas Tech, Oklahoma State and Texas A&M are all better than the Big East quartet though.
Cruel Bill.....ruthless in fact..... " I do expect us to finish in the top 25 though" 8-4 with that schedule oughta do it for ND along with a Gator Bowl win.... With 10 starters back on a pretty tough defense I look for SouCar to break into the Top Ten at some point during the season and UF-USC could be for the SEC East in Nov. UCLA is ditto because of their returning defense although USC will enjoy a huge payback in the Coliseum.
Sept. 1, 2007 W. Kentucky - gimme Sept. 8, 2007 Troy - gimme Sept. 15, 2007 Tennessee - tough game, but at home Sept. 22, 2007 at Ole Miss - should win Sept. 29, 2007 Auburn - tough game, but at home Oct. 6, 2007 at LSU - very tough game Oct. 20, 2007 at Kentucky - should win Oct. 27, 2007 Georgia - tough game, "neutral" site Nov. 3, 2007 Vanderbilt - should win Nov. 10, 2007 at South Carolina - should win Nov. 17, 2007 Florida Atlantic - gimme Nov. 24, 2007 Florida State - should win 8-4 if you lose all the tough games, 10-2 if you split.
Yeah....now that you mention it I guess the Gators would be fortunate to go 8-4 with that schedule.....same as ND would be with theirs. ND and UF are probably on par with each other this season....similar teams.....similar schedules.
