-No, but seriously...what if Oregon and Baylor go unbeaten? There might be a thousand yards RUSHING in that game alone.

-Indiana stand up!! Not a lot of people saw that slapping of Penn St coming.

-The only thing more amazing than FSU's beatdown of Maryland, was the fact that Maryland was ranked.. does anyone believe in the poll system at all, anymore?

-LSU is the most bipolar football program in America... take from that what you will.

-This is the 2nd week in a row that I've been impressed with Arkansas in a decisive defeat. If you're familiar with Bielma ball, that team is coming along nicely and they won't be down for long.. unless they get outspent on the recruiting trail.

-Ole Miss.. you're always behind Alabama in everything, but it always seems to pretty.

-Michigan.. for 3 straight weeks.. that's one hell of a 'post Irish hangover'.. Jesus, Dave.. I can't even tease you with a straight face anymore.

-Northwestern.. I would feel bad about that spot and a few breaks that didn't go their way, except for the fact that this school has produced so many raging assholes in the media... I kinda like the heartbreak, really. They deserve worse.

-Ohio State.. watch out, it would appear Michigan is saving (literally) everything for you.

-Washington.. just might be really good after all.. That was a fun game.

-Stanford.. I'm starting to think Shaw has a financial stake in the point spread (not really..but you have to wonder).

-Kentucky.. once again just showing us 'the grind' 'that is the SEC East.

-Georgia plays back to back classics. Tennessee really appears to be getting better. Against Florida, there were signs of life that were dashed by dump coaching and dumb plays, but they were there. They actually seem to be getting better and people better look out if that happens.. They have Bama down the road (that's their real rival for those who don't know)..

-Alabama might as well have played that game in Hawaiian shirts and holding tropical drinks.

Agreed on Bielema..... he seems to have the right approach.

I thought KY. played SC pretty tough for playing at SC.

Michigan does appear disinterested although they did a little better vs. a Big Ten opponent.

I think LSU offensively will do just enough to beat Fla next Sat... 20-17.

You have to wonder when those injuries will catch up to Ga.... I think maybe on Nov. 2nd. in Jax.

FSU looks so strong.... if they beat Clemson and Miami both.... they should factor in to the national picture but need a Bama or Oregon loss.

That's a sobering thought...Baylor unbeaten I mean. :) But the Bears have played a old time KSU slate, or the type of slate that the Pirate used to start off with when he was at Tech. Always creaming teams you never heard of before and seemingly unbeatable..till they started the regular season and finished with 4 losses.

-Indiana stand up!! Not a lot of people saw that slapping of Penn St coming.

Impressive win, Bill O'Brien was quietly doing a very good job at PSU, and nobody outside of Sids house even knows who is the IU coach.

-The only thing more amazing than FSU's beatdown of Maryland, was the fact that Maryland was ranked.. does anyone believe in the poll system at all, anymore?

Come on man what would you replace the polls with, we all know they are what they are and they favor any BCS conf team who is unbeaten. Geez these are they guys who voted No.Ill high enough to get a BCS bowl bid just because they were unbeaten.

-LSU is the most bipolar football program in America... take from that what you will.

There was a time you'd say that about Oklahoma State when the Hat was their coach. They were up something like 39 points on Texas one time at half and lost. The Hat!

-This is the 2nd week in a row that I've been impressed with Arkansas in a decisive defeat. If you're familiar with Bielma ball, that team is coming along nicely and they won't be down for long.. unless they get outspent on the recruiting trail.

Hogs have been good under a number of coaches over the years. It's a good football program.

-Ole Miss.. you're always behind Alabama in everything, but it always seems to pretty.

This weeks loss to Auburn, did you see that coming? Hugh Freeze can you coach with the spotlight on you?

-Michigan.. for 3 straight weeks.. that's one hell of a 'post Irish hangover'.. Jesus, Dave.. I can't even tease you with a straight face anymore.

Michigan could easily welcome Ohio State to Ann Arbor undefeated.

-Northwestern.. I would feel bad about that spot and a few breaks that didn't go their way, except for the fact that this school has produced so many raging assholes in the media... I kinda like the heartbreak, really. They deserve worse.

Tough loss for the Wildcats, but the kid was lucky he didn't fumble the ball the play was doomed from the start and to me it didn't look like he advanced the ball at all

-Ohio State.. watch out, it would appear Michigan is saving (literally) everything for you.

    Could be 2 undefeated teams

-Washington.. just might be really good after all.. That was a fun game.

Washington is good, hat's off to Sark who has had to roll a big giant turd left to him by TW up hill to get the program where it is right now. Can the Dub keep him or will somebody make him an offer he can't refuse?

-Stanford.. I'm starting to think Shaw has a financial stake in the point spread (not really..but you have to wonder).

Solid team not built to run up 70 points like Baylor or Oregon. Built to beat the crap out of you. Plus Hogan is a good QB but he's not exactly Andrew Luck.

-Kentucky.. once again just showing us 'the grind' 'that is the SEC East.

    Now you're just trolling!! LOL>

-Georgia plays back to back classics. Tennessee really appears to be getting better. Times will still be rough for the Vols this year, but Butch is recruiting like he was Lane Kiffen!! Not really, but he's doing very well restocking the Vols

-Alabama might as well have played that game in Hawaiian shirts and holding tropical drinks.

Hey they give scholarships at the University of Georgia State!

Another Hoosier (and Wolvie) doing well is Cam Cameron who was the head coach during the Randal El era. Cameron was hired by LSU this year as an offensive coordinator and has added a high octane boost to the Mad Hatter's offense.

Actually, your mother, KP, BDR and moi picked the Hoosiers to upset Penn State. A few of us here tend to be discrete and soft spoken regarding our college football expertise.

Bobda, we need to talk. I need some tips from you about how to be soft spoken, not one of my finer qualities.

A brief reflection on Cam Cameron. In college, he was as good a basketball player under Bob Knight as he was a football player at safety, the last IU 2-sport athlete that I can recall.

One more personal note, Bobda. Last Saturday, we took a nostalgic trip north from our home near Indy to see the lake cottage we sold a few years ago. I thought of you as we drove by the Butt Hut.

I know it sounds like boasting... chest thumping.... whatever Tom/Corey/Sid wants to call it but hey I do think UF has a chance to stay within three points of LSU in a losing effort. Damn.... that's in your face ain't it?

    Sid, LOL!

My wife and a former co worker are thinking about doing an Indiana road trip to shop at the Amish and Mennonite craft stores. Anne was surprised when I offered to join them since I usually break out in hives and exhibit hand tremors when I am forced by spousal compulsion to set foot in a craft store. She has not yet figured out my hidden Butt Hut agenda.

    Bobda, True Story...

My Sister in law is big into craft stores, antiques, etc. She, my brother and a friend of hers were in town one time and were going to the area of town where that stuff resides. I offered to go with them, thinking it'd be a nice trip and we'd have lunch at one of the many mom/pop restaurants that also populate the area.

At the first store an antique "mall", which I toured in 30 minutes and figured they'd be read to go to the next and then on to lunch...I found them still looking at Silver in the first booth we passed. I asked my brother why were they still at the first booth, he rolled his eyes and said you didn't really know what you were getting into did you..they can spend an hour at each one of these booths carefully inspecting each and every item searching for that elusive great buy! I was damn hungry by the time they got through, had to resort to whining and looking over their shoulders to try and guilt them out of the mall.

Never again. Actually they never invited me again on one of those trips..apparently whining males are not appreciated. :)

    T,

-I think a lot of people here saw the Ole Miss loss to Auburn coming. Auburn is getting better, and Ole Miss is starting to look a LOT like a snake oil salesman.

-Why do you need to replace the polls with anything? Why are they there in the first place? Mentioning Northern Illinois only furthers my suggestion. You can't bash the Huskies and them turn around to defend the polls.. even if it's to say there's nothing else.

-You're right that the Hogs have been good, but only good coaches have won there consistently. They've had flashes from the Houston Nutt's of the world, but by and large, they've looked awful as well.

-Kentucky. That was only a partial troll, but I will admit.. there was chum in the water. :)

-They need to give out some cash with those Georgia State scholarships because their ROI is nothing compared to what the Tide is getting out of theirs. :)

Hey, I took Auburn in the contest... So I was onboard with their improvement... and Ole Miss NOT being all that.

No, but seriously...what if Oregon and Baylor go unbeaten? There might be a thousand yards RUSHING in that game alone.

Might have that much by halftime and might break the NBA record for most points in a game. :)

    Yes

Not sure I understand this but ok.

Should be a good game. Maybe if they both get there unbeaten Herbie will lobby for a rematch in the championship game. :)
