Of course these things work both ways. Kids dump schools at the drop of a hat and do it at a late time in the recruiting cycle leaving the old team little opportunity to replace him. We've all benefited from that and suffered from that, and while most of us would just as soon kids made up their minds and stuck with it also agree that it's their life and they need to make decisions that they and their family are comfortable with. Coaches dropping recruits however is given a big negative and doesn't happen all that much, but it does happen every year. Like when recruits change their minds if it happens early in the cycle both parties have time to go with alternate plans. Late it leaves one party sort of screwed.
