In spite of his disapproval ratings soaring in key states like Michigan, Wi. and Pa. this article... as negative as it is for Trump... ( although factual ).... convinces me that he will win re-election in 2020 in spite of the groundswell of anti-Trump voters around the nation.
Think 2004 FSU vs. Florida.... a.k.a. The Swindle in the Swamp for a reference.

Not in a good place: Trump and the state-by-state approval polls | MinnPost

This from the article sums up the Gators.. I mean the Democrats chances vs. FSU... I mean Trump.... in the 2020 election:
"Part of Trump’s dark genius is to demonize whomever it is to his advantage to demonize. He will assign an insult nickname. He will mock their appearance. He will lie. He will frighten. He might be able to get some people who disapprove of him to vote for him as the lesser evil. He might get some who would never vote for him to stay home by convincing them that the alternative is no better. He might lose both the popular and the electoral vote and refuse to leave office, claiming the vote was rigged

AS Clinton's butt boy Carville once said "It's the economy stupid." Perhaps that's no longer true. "if it's not the economy, you're really stupid."

    Interesting comment attributed to Trump:
"One of Trump's most foretelling statements of the 2016 campaign occurred when he said, "I love the poorly educated." 70% of those who approve of Trump's overall performance lack a college degree."

I'm guess I'm not getting it, are you advocating that we return to some version of the Jim Crow days where there was a literacy test to get to vote? The Democrats are the big tent party, I wonder how many 'uneducated" voters support democratic positions.

As happens almost constantly, the quote is not put in context. As I recall this was after a primary win (Nevada I think) Trump was going through a breakdown of ALL the groups where he had gotten the majority of votes. When he got to the breakdown in education he mentioned that he had gotten 70% of the vote in that group. He then humorously quipped, "I love the poorly educated." He was enjoying a big victory and proud of his margins in ALL groups. (They didn't vote for Hillary which means that even though they were poorly educated, they weren't stupid.)

Joe Biden continues to be the leader in the Democratic Polls. He also continues to be the leader in gaffes by Democratic candidates. Most recently he put the deaths of RFK and MLK in the 70's. I saw a tepid video of his wife endorsing him because while maybe others have better ideas Joe can beat Trump.

Then there is that while many lampoon Trump for dodging the draft over bone spurs, but ignore that Biden dodged the draft because he reportedly had asthma, of course that didn't stop him from being an athlete in HS, and intramural athlete in college. But nobody talks about why that sort of thing.

the weird thing is that I know a lot of Democrats and none of them are voting for Biden in the primary. Granted, that's anecdotal, but still..

I think Biden's support is in the older Democrats who don't want any part of the Socialist insanity being proposed by the other leading contenders like Sanders and Warren. I'm guessing that people who are on or near Medicare and paid for their or their kids college tuition aren't thrilled with Medicare for all and forgiveness of college loans. And then there's the open borders matter....

Gaffe's don't matter a hill of beans to Trump.... he makes a ton of them but either denies or brands as liars and assigns derisive nicknames to those who dare point those gaffes out.

Maybe Biden can play those same games.... maybe that's what his wife is referring to..... he's the Democrat's answer to Teflon Don.

How much does a gaffe weigh?
