Pryor has more total yards himself than the Oregon offense!

Except for that little lull in the 3rd qtr, OSU controlled that game. Congrats to all the fans and.....George?

Hey, I'm a native Buckeye and actually attended OSU my first year of college. I always root for them.... except when they play the Irish who will always be #1 to me.

I am pleased that Pryor finally had his signature game and lifted the monkey from his back.

Did I miss something, where was this hurry up offense by the Ducks?

One of the better BCS games this go around in my opinion.

    Thanks, Dave, George, and all...

George, I have seen Script Ohio a million times and that was an old one (based on the field markings and old track in the stadium) yet had to watch the whole thing. Never gets old (to me).

Huge win for us based on all our criticisms, and, frankly, a huge win for the B10.

I had actually picked Oregon on the Skybox contest, (but not with huge points), but I kept hearing the ESPN sports guys saying how we couldn't handle the Oregon hurry-up offense with their speed...made me want to puke... and my Buddy Crazy John, the Mich grad was echoing that stuff and it pissed me off...

So I pulled an "AJ" and changed my pick to the Buckeyes two days ago and gave them the maximum 34 points. :D

And let's all not ignore unbeaten Purdue crushing unbeaten WVa in hoops today. 8)

Pryor really had a coming out party yesterday. He still has a LONG way to go as a QB but he has VY written all over him at this level. He was clearly the difference.

Another huge factor was the Buckeye defensive line which controlled things throughout. As an Irish fan, I am unfamiliar with this concept

    Stu,

I am afraid I did not have the same confidence (points) as you did.

Tressel really did surprise me with his open up offense and letting Pryor throw the ball downfield. It worked to perfection.

Early on I had predicted we would try to run the ball, clock possession, etc.

A great and very enjoyable win for the Buckeyes!

Congratulations of that Purdue win over West Virginia in hoops!

    Don

With the great game that Pryor had yesterday, I'd have to say he's in the top 5 (if not the leader) for the Heisman next year. Ingram of course will be back and will be in the top 5. The other guys who got votes like Dion Lewis of Pitt and Kellen Moore of Boise will be talked about. But the rest of the big names on the Heisman watch will have moved on to the NFL.

I don't think the B12 will have anybody who right out of the gate will be considered a leader, the A&M QB is a possibility. The UofH QB might have been except for the 6 pick day vs Air Force that'll hurt him early. I think maybe the Navy QB Ricky Hobbs will get some play if the have another great season.

No doubt there will be guys who get off to great starts next year who we haven't thought of at the moment. But Pryor has to have a lead out of the gate.

    George,

    Well done.

    Don,

I wondered the same thing. For some reason, Oregon fell into the trap and let the game get slowed down. It was almost like they panicked when they fell behind quick.. They opened things up and tied it up, only to slow it back down again. Kelly is a new HC, but I think one day he may look back on this game and do some second guessing.

    Stu,

It's funny how ESPN talks out of both sides of their mouth. Its true they spent all month talking about OSU not being able to match the speed. However, from the moment this game kicked off.. Herbie was talking about how Oregon didn't have anyone who could match the (insert trait here, speed physicality etc) with any number of players on Ohio State's team... I mean, it got off-the-chart on the ******** scale. By our count here, Ohio State had 6 kids in the lineup that Oregon didn't have anyone as fast or physical as...

    That's ********.

It was a good game until Blounte played soccer into the end zone.. That seemed to be a fatal blow. From which they didn't recover.
