Link is to a Sporting news article. 2 are already committed, Matt Elam (ND Fans will remember this name) who is already committed to the Gators and Christian Lombard who is already committed to the Irish. The Irish should be players for a couple of the other kids on the list Justin McCray probably one of our top WR targets is coached by former ND All-American Tim Grunhard who briefly considered moving to college coaching with Notre Dame. Seantrel Henderson may be the best OT prospect in quite awhile, he goes to a Catholic High School in Minn that has sent a number of players to Notre Dame including current Irish freshman AA WR Michael Floyd and former ND All-American OL Ryan Harris who is now with the Broncos and several more. So the Irish figure to be in the mix for this kid. Top Players for 2010
After studying that list, I can tell you right now we've got the kids from MINN, KAN and TX. They already have their Train tickets...
It's amazing how early some of these kids commit these days, the Gators have four commits for 2010 already. Demar Dorsey Safety Matt Elam Safety Trey Burton Quarterback Ian Silberman Offensive Tackle Of course it is not guaranteed they stick but they are committed for now. One of the early commitments we had for this year, Greg Reid, ended up at FSU.
These are 17 year old boys. Their idea of commitment is telling her "I love you" to get a piece of a$$. Beyond that, they have no idea what a commitment is.
If Charlie has in fact turned the corner as a head coach, the Irish should have an incredible year next year recruiting wise. He already has a 5 star DE in Chris Martin from Oakland Ca, 5 star OL in Chris Lombard from Illinois 4 star WR in Daniel Smith from South Bend, IN. That's a big if of course, I think we'll see some pretty big time players commit before June 1 and as I said if he has a excellent year on the field it will be his best class ever. And as we all saw with all the early commits there is more flip flopping of these kids than ever before.
recruiting <r>If the team puts up at least 9 wins this season the recruiting will take care of itself in many ways. CW is on track to put together his best class yet. This one could be a monster!! But......they have to show something on the field this season. Talking won't get it done anymore. <br/> <br/> As always I'm optimistic....I think CW and the team turned the corner with the Hawaii game and they are on their way...Let's get the D-line coach on board and get this thing rollin... <E>8)</E></r>
Well you ladies keep rubbing and grobbling all over yourselves about your 5 star beauties. Here's what 3 and 4 stars get ya when you turn them into a Football team.
