Interesting. I wonder if ND would have been ranked that high before this season. Based on the writer's explanation for the ranking, I'm guessing not.

    Terry,

I would have to agree with #10 being a real shocker!

That's a reasonable list, except for Houston, but I am not buying that Alabama and LSU are better jobs than Florida. But I think what is really important is that we are a job where people should come to stay. Whatever difference there is in any of those college programs listed is small.

..........and I'm not buying that any of the SEC jobs are better than Ohio State...

While Louisiana has a great talent base, I'd still say that Florida has a larger talent base and at least as much of everything else.

At Alabama... it's just about the money and fanaticism. They have good, but not great local talent, especially when you look at it per capita. It's not a job for everyone. You're going to have to recruit (and dominate) regionally at a minimum and really nationally if you're going to be that great over time. I'd have to rank as a job, UF more desirable than Bama or LSU.

    Better weather for sure.....

in truth their are a handful of jobs that are head and shoulders above the rest. Most of them are represented here in the Skybox.....I don't know how you could choose one above the others or put them in any order except purely personal preference.

As Scott pointed out today, I'm not sure how many bowl games I will get to see since they all seem to be on ESPN. Whichever ESPN bowl games end up being aired on ABC, or the other networks, I should be around to chat. Otherwise, I stopped paying out the exhorbitant prices demanded by satellite/cable and will have to do without (or go to Hooters).
