I ws going to drive home from N. Carolina tommow, about a 10 hour drive, but wasn't really looking forward to getting caught in Thanksgiving traffic. Then I thought I would watch the Gator - FSU game today and drive to Jacksonville to get to my daughters house. Then I remembered Tom talking about listening to Tennessee games on Sirius radio while traveling. Thanks to a special my son-in-law was able to get for a 2nd radio on his account, I now have Sirius. So I left this morning at 10:30 and arrived home at about 9 tonight and was able to hear most of the game on Sirius. I did have some trouble getting recption though Atlanta, because it comes in through an unused FM station and there aren't many in Atlanta. But fortunately the part I missed there was no scoring, and I will be able to pick up the replay on Breakfast with the Gators on Sunshine tomorrow morning. And I get some rest before returning to the classroom Monday. A pretty good day overall.
Bill, if your vehicle has a cassette player (my truck has cassette and CD in the radio) there is a cassette adapter that will plug into your sirius radio and play through the tape player. That way, you don't have to fiddle with changing FM stations in different cities. If you don't have cassette... never mind.
Unfortunately Tom I don't have a cassette player in the car. I don't think there is an adapter for a CD player is there?
You can wire the radio cradle directly into the car radio as an accessory with many of the car kits, avoiding the need to "broadcast" over an unused station.
