Going out on top, good for you Tony. Thanks for 33 years of your life to baseball. Oh yeah, and the WS Titles for the Cards also.

    Wonder if this affects Albert?

Maybe we can get the old Red Sox manager....what's his name Jiffy?....Theo Francona or something like that.

    Who? :)

I guess he's never gotten over the Jeff Kemp walk off homerun in Houston back back in 2004!! :) Heck of a thing to have to carry into retirement! :)

Just a little trip down memory lane!

He'll be on the HOF express. 3rd most wins in MLB history (actually I don't like to count Connie Mack since he owned the team and never was in danger of being canned.) He's only about 60 wins short of John McGraw. Second manager to win the Series in both leagues. I believe that Sparky guy was the other. Got to like the way he want out on top.

He was known as one of the best early in his career. What he did in St. Louis was just more confirmation of that acclaim.

And if I'm not mistaken, he's a lawyer to boot. :)

Good for him. Still, it's sad to see the great ones go.

ha! Earl was fun to watch, but I didn't prefer his style of baseball. I like Tony there in a head to head.
