MLB is talking about transferring a NL team to the AL to form two leagues of 15 teams each. The following is an exerpt from today's ESPN article written by Buster Olney:

Yeah I saw that, don't know what to think of that. I don't really give a rats ass about the Texas Rangers myself so personally it wouldn't make me more of a fan or more likely to go to games. When the Astros are good they do well at the gate, when we aren't we don't...being in the same division as the Rangers I don't think will do much.

My concern: If the Astros bolt the NL Central, the Cubs by default will be in last place.

How do they schedule? Do they have an interleague game every day?

Gip, from what I read there would be inter league games all the time. Also read that a lot of owners think it would take away with a lot of the excitement surrounding the inter league games.

I think it makes sense to have 15 in each league makes sense.

If the Lastros leave, will any of the NL teams notice?

Sadly I'm not sure the Astros in their 49 years as a NL team have developed a rivalry.

Sure Astros fans hate the Cards, but the Cards big rival is the Cubs, we also hate the Dodgers but the Dodgers big rivalry is the Giants, etc.

As I said I don't think 'Stros and Rangers will adopt each other as their big rival if we end up in the same league.

I'm just trying to share the misery of a lost season. Our once feared bullpen is an arson squad; our roster (and starting lineup) is filled with rookies from the rosters of the (AAA) Albuquerque Isotopes and the (AA) Chattanooga Lookouts; the role players are a collection of has-beens, castaways and refugees from the Mexican League; and the hated Giants are using us as a doormat...

These are the darkest times in LA Dodger history.

LOL! That bastard has to make payroll again today and nobody knows how he's going to do it. There is no money, his wife spent it all. In three days, he may have to default on the money that he still owes to Manny Ramirez; reportedly more than $6 million per year...

This situation is so bad, that we don't even want to think about what he might do. The Dodgers have the best player in the National League in Matt Kemp. Are they going to sell him? Andre Ethier is an All-Star too and he becomes a free agent soon. Will they unload him? What an effing disaster. Even rooting for the Lastros would be better than this. My Dodgers don't seem to have a future.

You know the 780 year-old relic of St. Anthony (patron saint of lost items) was stolen from St. Anthony's church in Long Beach this week. You know who stole it? Almost certainly it was a Dodger fan using it to pray for divine help in recovering our lost pride.

 it gets better the City of Loangeles supervisors voted in their meeting yesterday to send a proposal to congress to allow the citizens of Los angeles to own the Dodgers like the Packers in GreenBay . but due to some laws COngress must approve it will cost each resident of Los angeles anywhere from 400 to 1000 ea. they will take over the property as public domain and make it a historic landmark. on the news the residents of LA were all for it.. they wont vote for education but they will for the Dosgers.

Starting tonight...it's the series that all of baseball has been waiting for: the steel cage, winner-take-all, death match of the century!
Houston Astros vs. Los Angeles Dodgers

Loser goes to the American League...

LOL! We fired our pitching coach this week, in the news conference Brad Mills described him in glowing terms...I wonder why he fired him if he was such a great guy! :)

This should be an even matchup. You don't have a pitching coach and we don't have any pitchers... :p
