8) Wow. Here's another of your childhood favorites. No wonder your attitude is so abrasive. Our president said that we should hold down the rhetoric...
I wish something had turned my weekend around. Sat. at 5 a vicious storm blew through causing a lot of damage to neighbors and knocking out power. I'm at the office right now. Power is still of at home and they haven't be able to estimate when power will be restored.
Good ole DTE Energy. $500.00 plus energy bills and an unreliability second to none. Damn I miss Detroit.........NOT!
Poe, Mencken, Lydon, Waits, the list goes on.... you are correct.. my dark abrasive nature is hardly a surprise. I don't sweat things the President says, he doesn't mean any of it. Mike, I feel for ya man. I've gone without power 3 times this year so far. It blows.
Power finally back on last night. Phone, internet and TV still out. Called Comcast this morning and gave them ****. When the lady I'm talking to told me that they weren't going to charge me for the last 4 days I almost lost it. Here's how it went. "You order a pizza and the delivery guy never shows up. You call and complain and they tell you that you don't have to go down to the parlor and pay them for the pizza. How would you feel?" "I see what you mean..." "Now the next time you feel like a pizza would you call that same place?" "No I wouldn't." "I'm going to call the other pizza place. Have a nice day." I'm trying to negotiate a deal with WOW. Anyone else have them?
Not I. I use Earthlink for the e-mail address I have had for years but my ISP is actually Roadrunner from Time Warner.
At least you have options. We have 2 here. 1 is somewhat affordable in price but the service is terrible.. the other is through the roof expensive but the service is good.. and by good, I mean, it works. There are actually more bells and whistles with the packages offered by the cheaper company (Charter). I actually had Charter originally. I was without net or cable for 2 weeks (prior to the storms). I called to complain that I still didn't have service and they tried to get me to pay the bill (full amount). I told them that wasn't acceptable as they haven't even provided a full months service. The rep told me (and this is a quote) "I have an idea.. why don't you just pay your f*cking bill and then we could hire more repairmen to fix your service." I cancelled right there. I use the far more expensive, but reliable, Knology now.. so sorry, no experience with the other.
