    He's pacing himself Doc. He's like Tiger now, 320 yard drives are nice, but Major league WS titles are bettetr. :wink:

    After being in first place since May, the Tigers gaged and bowed out of the playoffs tonight. This team just didn't have it. They could have clinced the division last Thurs. with a win. Instead they laid down. They lost 2 out of 3 to the out of contention Sox. Had they somehow won, their pitching rotation was completely shot. Better that they should roll over tonight, go out and party with Cabrara, than be cannon fodder for the Yanks. The team that wanted it more won.

    On one hand, I'm sorry for Jim Leyland. I like him because he comes across to me as old school. On the other hand, you have to admire the Twins' grit and determination.
