    I, for one, am completely scandalized that Bob Devaney wasn't on that list! He would have made a great #2.

    That Bear Bryant wasn't a bad coach himself, however.

    Bryant's #'s are/were more impressive. Back to back years of gutty performances should have outweighed a younger man's very respectable season. We'll see how he does next year.

    Ahh yes Gator Bill....but after the 72 Orange Bowl Bryant approached Devaney and said that was probably the best team he's ever seen. When Devaney Thanked him Bryant stopped him short and said "The Team, not the coaches". He then smiled and walked away.

    Now what that has to do with Tom Osborne? I have no idea. :wink:
