I have been busy at school and with company the last couple of weeks and haven't posted a lot. I have been watching the Olympics and catching Gator basketball when I can here in North Carolina. Last night the Gators beat Tennessee on our court, the first win after six straight losses to them. However that is not "The Way It Should Be" means. Sitting here this morning I remember when we lost by a point to Tennessee on their court, and one of the things they showed on one of the breaks was a fund raiser that Pearl was involved in, I don't remember what it was for. What I do remember however is that Billy Donovan was there with him helping raise money. I am very happy with Billy D as our coach, but if he wasn't there would also be happy with Bruce Pearl. I think both them have their life priorities right.
Agreed on the coaches. Helluva win for Florida last night and I think it assures they are now playing for a higher seed in the tourney.....not for the invitation because that is pretty well locked in I think. ...and here is why the win was so important: "Walker hit three 3s in a 2-minute span, then Parsons made another that put Florida up 70-50 with 3:04 to play. ''It was like bang, bang, bang, and all of a sudden the game was blown open,'' Gators coach Billy Donovan said. The huge run sent SEC commissioner Mike Slive, Connecticut athletic director Jeff Hathaway and most of the sellout crowd to the exits. Hathaway is a member of the NCAA selection committee, and Florida picked a good time to play its most complete game since beating Michigan State and Florida State in November"..........from CNNSI
