    Georgia 24 Auburn 0 with 4 min left in the 2nd qtr

    For the 2nd time this year, Auburn is getting blown out at home.

    You can't tell me this conference is any better than the others. As good, maybe, but not better.

    And why is it that whenever my team is choking against someone, we have to read all about the bad teams who beat or almost beat our opponent.

    Something tells me that if/when UGa wins this game, we'll hear all about 'mighty' Georgia again.

    Wow I didn't see this comming. I figured this would be a low scoring close game because Auburn just doesn't have a good offense and the dawgs just aren't good this year.

    What the SEC has is 4 or 5 good teams, just no great team.

    I'm thinking that the Ole Ball Coach completes the job tonight in the swamp...would be a black day for SEC BCS hopes.

    If Texas beats KState soundly tonight and they don't jump over the Gators then there is no justice! :!: :!: :!: I didn't watch the game, and I certainly can appreciate that Bill and Dave and Wendy feel that the Gators are the best 1 loss team. But I just don't see it.

    The number of mistakes that the special teams made by SC were incredible. They handed the game to Fla.

    Piggies look like they are clearly the best team in the SEC right now. They are running over Tenn.

    I retract my previous statement humbly, and submit that Fla deserves to be ranked ahead of the Longhorns.....maybe not the Hogs but we could fall out of the top 10 certainly down to the bottom of the top 10.

    You're like a broken record Corey, we've known for years you don't care much for the SEC. But we'll just have to struggle along without your respect.

    And I would have to say that I do agree that it would seem to me the best team in the SEC right now is Arkansas. But since we will play each other Dec 2 we can settle that on the field.

    And I would also have to agree that the SEC does not stand head an shoulders above other conferences, but in my opinion are right there with a couple of others that are much better than the Big East and ACC for example.

    Did this win tonight wrap up the SEC West for the Hogs?

    Ark vs UF should be one of the best SEC games of the year Bill. While as you know I don't think you guys have a great offense, you do have a very fast and tough front 7, which will be matched up with a very powerfull running game. Hog defense looked pretty darn good as well.

    I'll bet that it will be a slugfest.

    Also be interesting to see how far the Hogs jump in the BCS standings...in fact the whole BCS probably will undergo a lot of changes in the spots 3 through 10. With Texas and Louisville losing it would seem like UF would move to #3, but that win vs SCar was pretty ugly...but I don't see anybody who could have enough juice to overtake you in 1 week. I wouldn't however be surprised to see USC (assuming they continue to win vs Oregon) move very close to you in points, I wouldn't be surprised to see you lose ground to OSU/UM pointswise while moving up to #3.

    I see the BCS this way on Sunday

    1. tOSU
    2. Meechigan
    3. UF
    4. USC
    5. Notre Dame
    6. Arkansas
    7. LSU
    8. Rutgers
    9. Texas
    10. Louisville

    That looks pretty reasonable to me Terry. W. Virginia might get into the thop 10.

    i don't mind Gip

    <t>I am sure Bill is tired of hearing it. Much as I am tired of this assumption that the SEC is the best conference in the land. Once they start losing, well, its because they are playing each other and that's what happens in the best conference in college football.<br/>
    <br/>
    The wrench this year is that some teams have been punished by the polls in the media for winning, while the SEC teams were winning (and losing) with 'style points.'<br/>
    <br/>
    I have nothing against Florida. I will admit that MCG's refusal to admit that they have ever been defeated gets annoying, but I have no malice toward them. Ditto that toward UT, although the Vol fans here don't really have a poster that calls for a Congressional Inquiry into the family lineage of the officials after each loss.<br/>
    <br/>
    I actually have nothing against the SEC directly. I have a big problem with this perception that its the best conference in the country. This is the one and only conference in the land that is annually given the benefit of the doubt about its status as being 'the best', even when the events on the field don't resemble the story being portrayed in the media.<br/>
    <br/>
    I've been harping for over a month that Arkansas just might be the best team in the SEC. That isn't due to any self serving end result for my team. It has to do with the fact that they just flat assed ran over Auburn AT Jordan-Hare. Even thought Georgia won big today, much of that had to do with Cox (Auburn's QB) being the Bulldog offensive player of the week.<br/>
    <br/>
    I just don't understand why ND wins big over a service academy on the road and they are damned for not winning with style points, while a team from that conference will beat that same team narrowly at home and are given kudos for a 'gritty' win.<br/>
    <br/>
    Hell, toss ND under the bus. Take any number of the other teams out there playing their butts off. Why are they constantly discounted regardless of what they do on the field, while others are given credit for things that have nothing to do with what took place on the field.<br/>
    <br/>
    I'd agree. The record is broken. But the next time I hear SEC fans stand up and start admitting that their conference is being overranked while they are bearing the fruit from that, will be the first.<br/>
    <br/>
    So sorry Bill. Its not a personal attack on you, or any SEC fan, or your beloved Gators.<br/>
    <br/>
    My team was 'overrated' to start the year and we've been punished harshly all year for sh*tting the bed in one of our big games at home. I'd just like to know why others haven't? That is all.</t>

    Corey, Notre Dame is going to be ranked in the top 5 in my opinion which hardly makes them punished.

    Right now I see the 2nd spot in the BCS coming down to Notre Dame, S. Cal, Florida and Arkansas. Since there is are matchups between S. Cal and Notre Dame then Florida and Arkansas I see the 2nd BCS team coming from those four with the loser of the OSU and Michigan game possibly being a factor also.
