In true Patriot style the Cardinals are now under FBI investigation for hacking into the Astros files. Un-f'n-believable. http://www.nytimes.com/2015/06/17/sports/baseball/st-louis-cardinals-hack-astros-fbi.html?_r=0
Shame on the Cardinals!! Is there no honor in baseball? I'm rethinking being a Cardinals fan, the Cubs are back in play. They maybe hopeless but they are at least honest.
In Football....it's cheating..... In Baseball....If you ain't cheatin', you ain't trying.... LOL...this is gonna be fun.... You go get yourself a Cubs Cap Doc......
8) We're in the Twilight Zone now. The Cards are hacking into the computers of the LASTROS?!!! No Yankees? No Dodgers? No Red Sox; Giants, Reds; Orioles or Angels? What is wrong with that picture? How many World Series titles has Houston won? This is like the U.S. Navy hacking into Zimbabwe for the latest aircraft carrier designs...
Why the Astros? 1. They've been getting high draft picks for some time now. 2. They obviously aren't the best at judging talent. What better place to seek diamonds in the rough?
Locals are demanding heads roll in Cardinals Organization and severe penalties should the investigation confirm it was Cardinal employees and that others in the Organization knew about it. People could go to jail.
I could see if they hired a professional hacker, and folks Knew about it...and it's proven....then some crap could go down.....but early reports make me think that it was front office associates being sneaky.....early reports though.... Re: Murder.......Ooooouuuucccccchhhhhhhhhh!!!! Dave....HOW 'BOUT THEM BLACKHAWKS!!
"in keeping with baseball tradition, a Houston exec should walk into the STL offices and hit their best front office guy with a fastball" .....Brandon Mccarthy
LOl...now that guy has a sense of humor. But as I said locals are calling for the most severe penalties that MLB can hand out. I wonder if the Astro's could be compensated by being able to have the Cardinals #1 MLB draft pick for the next few years, or maybe be able to pick the top couple of players in their minor league system as compensation for this dastardly deed.
Hey we have a former Cardinal running our club, he claims to have built their current club and minor league system. Everybody says we have one of the best systems now in MLB. Loaded with talent! Old guard and scouts are gone, new guys who use spreadsheets and analytics are now in charge! I think Luhnow is a compatriot with the Dodgers analytics guys!
 The former Cardinal who's now running the Astros was the Trojan Horse. He never changed his passwords, so it was easy for his old pals in St. Louis to hack in and obtain priceless info on player evaluations and trade possibilities... http://www.mlbdailydish.com/2015/6/16/8789333/cardinals-astros-hacking-scandal-everything-you-need-to-know http://deadspin.com/everyone-involved-in-the-cardinals-hacking-scandal-seem-1711682201
Speaking of cheating....How about those Royals fans stuffing the ballot boxes...we could have the starting lineup for the AL in the All Star game be the Royals! What really got me as stupid on the part of MLB is that you can vote multiiple times from a single email address. They need to come up with a better way of picking the All-Star team. I'd be for giving it back to the Players/Coaches. But I know that'll never happen because they make too much money selling the naming rights to the voting process. Somewhere in my youth I remember another ballot box stuffing, was it the Reds fans?
You're right Doc. Back in the 50's the Red's fans stuffed the ballot boxes and elected 7 of the 8 position starters. Only Stan Musial managed to break into the lineup. The commissioner replace a couple of Red's outfielders and installed Mays and Aaron as starters. They also took balloting away from fans at that point. Online voting just invites this stupidity. There should be official ballots that are distributed evenly to each club to be used at games. But you're right about sponsorship being the cause of the current dumb system. I see where Miggy had finally passed the great Eric Hosmer for starting at first.
