kp, When i read this yesterday, you were the first person that came to my mind. (Grin) It probably is not going to change things, but they have to be embarrassed a little bit.
The NCAA investigation/persecution of Alabama was absolutely criminal. I'm fairly certain there was cheating going on, but the NCAA manufactured evidence and obtained documents/testimony illegally. The NCAA investigation/persecution of Notre Dame was a f*cking sham. The only legit NCAA offense was Eric Chappell selling his family tickets to his girlfriend for profit. The rest was just garbage. Even the infractions committee couldn't agree that there was any violations committed. Yet, the jackass from Kentucky pushed it through and the Irish were labeled 'major infraction violators.' Now they admit they're wrong... ?? F*ck you NCAA... f*ck you. Good news, hey Ralph, you got the football team back!
I have been following this for almost 22 months and honestly this latest aspect from the NCAA is stunning.... Miami has to date given up two bowl games plus the ACC Championship game this season for a total of three revenue and high school recruiting events. As mentioned above 22 months have gone by as the NCAA investigates any wrongdoing on our part from the testimony of Shapiro who is an incarcerated convict who swindled $930 million dollars in a large ponzi scheme. I have no illusions that the Miami Hurricanes are the choir boys for any church on South Beach but when the NCAA comes knocking you are considered guilty first with the slight possibility of no wrongdoing at a later date. Regardless recruits and their parents are scared away from the accused school and reminded of it from other schools wanting their recruitment... We have all mentioned at times what in the heck is the NCAA doing to this or that school. They have seemed to be off limits and beyond what we call fair practice and innocent until proven guilty. They were always beyond the law and there was nothing anyone could do...This brings out what we have always thought but could never prove and Kudos to those in the NCAA bringing this into the light of day... Here are a few articles related to Miami concerning the upcoming infractions... http://espn.go.com/college-sports/story/_/id/8872992/ncaa-reveals-found-improper-conduct-investigation-miami-hurricanes http://miamiherald.typepad.com/umiami/2013/01/ncaa-bylaw-blog-writer-weighs-in-on-um-case-after-ncaa-bombshell-drops-wednesday.html
