The first award for a unit. ND great Aaron Taylor was a major force in the creation of this award. My son was a walk-on during the Moore years at ND. He had some hair-raising stories of how Moore coached the OL, including players reduced to tears. This is a great read for anyone who respects the job of the OL.

I saw that, and it is an interesting premise, awarding it to a position group rather than an individual.

Joe was a great coach that's for sure, and I'll bet even Bob Davie wishes he'd handled that whole situation much differently.

I seem to remember that in 1996 when ND under Holtz played Navy in Dublin. There was an incident where 2 ND cheerleaders were getting it on and players were watching them through a window and whooping it up. I believe Moore got really pissed at the players and had them doing drills in the middle of the night.
