The Gators Did Do Their Part!

History has been made, Florida - Ohio State for 2007 Basketball Championship, a rematch of the football championship.

Now of course us Gators are hoping for the same result as in football!

A win that is, a one point win will be just fine.

Congrats to the Gators Bill, they just beat the tar out of UCLA. The Final with Ohio State should be a doozy!!

Hope UF can reduce the number of TOs as that could very well do 'em in against OSU.

 

Looks like it's Tom vs MCG for the Championship. If the Gators win, it's MCG, if they lose it's Tom. An all SEC final!!

 

Football and basketball games are difficult to compare. I think you can have far more swings in basketball. A bad shooting night, turnovers, charity stripe, you name it, it can happen very quickly.

Ohio State is a far different team now than back when the Gators tromped us at home. Still I am having a hard time thinking we can win Monday night.

On the other hand, who knows, however I think we will need a super game to win and some turnovers from Florida.

Roles are reversed for this game. Gators are the clear favorite, they have the experience, more big stars, more experience, etc. Buckeyes will be the ones getting no respect!! :twisted:

Well, I should realize this is CBS sportsline, part of an organization which was unable to find a color guy for last night's UCLA-UF game that could accurately pronounce Billy Donovan's last name. "Dunnavan"????

 

Watched the game here in NYC at a place called the Gin Mill....the NYC Gator bar.

Awesome experience enjoyed with about 300 Gator newly made Gator friends.

Might as well have been in Gainesville.

 

Congrats to both schools. Anyone read what the odds of this "rematch" occurring were? Incredible.

Actually they make a lot of good points...but it's pretty amazing that they can't make them without being so smug and insulting...and they didn't play favorites...they insulted everybody.

Well how about giving UCLA credit for making the final frickin' four you @sshole?

I look for us to be quite overmatched...in size and experience. Oden is a monster force but I'm not sure that he is ready for Noah and your other big men.

If you look at my tourney picks you will see that I had us going to the final four (even though I thought it was a reach) but no farther. I am completely out of the standings, even though I picked three out of the final four.

These kids are playing great and don't deserve that kind of cynicism regardless of what happens Monday. I am very proud of what they have accomplished.

We are an improved team, but the blowout last fall was no fluke.

I certainly hope that there is no quit in this team as he implies...they certainly didn't roll over against the big lead that Tenn. had on them.

One would wish that these smug sportswriters could give Fla. their props without trying to call everybody else chumps.

 

I still think it's going to be a tough game for UF. Need to avoid the slow start and TOs.

Freeman is a jerk. He likes to play the race card, he likes to be insulting with what he writes and he doesn't know how to give credit.

During his so called career at the Jacksonville Times Union he called Urban Meyer a liar, used the race card a lot of times.

As soon as he went to CBS one of his first columns is how race was an issue with Gator fans liking Tebow. Then later in the season he accused Meyer of being racist because he brought Tebow in for short yardage situations, particularly on the goal line, and said it cost Leak a shot at the Heisman.

I never saw the ass write a column about the Gators after we won the National Championship that the use of both QB's was instrumental in getting us there.

Come to think of it I never remember this guy writing a positive article about anything. He has to do just what he did here, find a way to insult half the planet in any article.

So if he said something to insult your school, he just doesn't know how to spread credit, just barbs.
