It's an ESPN Insider Article so I won't bother to link it. But the article rates the future of the top programs. Ohio State is #1, With Alabama right behind them. No surprise as those 2 programs have the best coaches.

    3. FSU
    4. Auburn
    5. LSU
    6. USC
    7. Clemson ..this is sort of a surprise to me.
    8. Georgia
    9. Texas
    10. Oregon
    11. Notre Dame
    12. TCU
    13. A&M
    14. Baylor
    15. Michigan ...once Harbaugh rights the ship they will shoot up the rankings I have no doubt.
    16. Tenn
    17. OU ...really surprised at this low ranking
    18. MSU...also surprised at this low ranking...it would seem that everything is in place for MSU to have a very bright future. Stable coaching staff that is excellent and academics are not something they need to overcome in recruiting.
    19. UCLA
    20. Stanford
    21. Gators...if they have the right coach they will also shoot up the rankings. Future could be very bright, if they have the right guy.
    22. Ole Miss
    23. Louisville
    24. Penn State
    25. Arizona State.

They rate a teams future based on
    1. Coaching
    2. Talent on hand
    3. recruiting
    4. Title path
    5. Foundation.

For example here is the eval of Ohio State.

And here is the eval of Michigan State

Seeing Bob Stoops so far down the list make you realize that he's not done very much recently...and as a result he's doubling down up there in Norman. He had major staff changes in the off season trying to recapture the magic. At one time Stoops would have easily been in the top 5.

I had thought about posting this, but felt some might think I was bragging. Our future does look pretty bright.

    MSU needs to rated higher!

Any updates on Braxton Miller? Is he throwing now in summer workouts?

Meanwhile down in Alabama I've been reading that former Notre Dame verbal, Blake Barnett is maybe going to be in the mix to play as a true freshman at QB for Saban. Our other QB will be leading FSU to the playoffs... we can recognize talent just can't keep it around! :)

    Terry,
Miller is throwing pitch and catch in the 35 yard range. Reports are limited and rather sparse.

I am almost willing to bet Barnett will get the nod to start this fall. It will up to him to lose his starting role.

    Good one Bobda.

I like the comment on Florida and so far I have been very impressed by our new coach.

If he is as good as I think/hope he will/can be we will be back up there with the big dogs.
