DNC Video: “The Government Is The Only Thing We All Belong To”… <iframe width="640" height="360" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/6gLa9Te8Blw?feature=player_embedded" frameborder="0"></iframe> Americans do not belong to the government, the government belongs to the people. Video that played during the DNC includes the line “The Government Is The Only Thing We All Belong To” (September 4, 2012).
Here is the great disgrace that the entire political world has been talking about. It happened a few hours ago. Open warfare has erupted on the floor of the convention as the wishes of the majority of the delegates have been swept aside. The platform of the Democratic Party contained no reference to God and also removed Jerusalem as the capitol of Israel. All hell broke loose among Christian and Jewish Democrats who challenged the atheists and Commies who rewrote the platform. The Chicago Machine ordered that the platform be changed back to include both God and Jerusalem. When the vote was taken, Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa of Los Angeles held the chair and called for a voice vote. Three times he called for the vote and each time the vast majority of Democrats shouted "NO!" They don't believe in God and they hate Jewish people and they made no attempt to disguise it. Finally, Villaraigosa simply declared that the motion had passed in yet another Democratic Party fraud. This was how Obamacare was passed. There's nothing "democratic" about the modern Democratic Party... http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2012/09/05/democrats-restore-references-to-god-jerusalem-in-platform/
DNC Delegate Member Of “Anti-Zionist” PAC Whose Platform States “The Official Story Of 9/11 Is Not True”… I’m guessing this person was one of the people who voted ‘no’ on the Jerusalem platform change. Via Free Beacon: Among those watching President Obama’s nomination speech tonight at the Democratic National Convention will be a Missouri-based Democratic delegate who is a “member of [a] 9/11 truth supporting political action committee” that considers itself “anti-Zionist.” Ruby al-Sous is a Muslim DNC delegate from Missouri who bills herself as a member of the American Muslim Political Action Committee (AMPAC), a group that supports “anti-Zionist” Muslim candidates, believes “the ‘war on terror’ is a hoax” and states that “the official story of 9/11 is not true,” according to its platform. AMPAC was created by al-Sous’ confidante, MD Rabbi Alam, a 9/11 Trutherand Democratic Party caucus chairman who has speculated about Jewish involvement in the 9/11 terrorist attacks. Alam came to national prominence in July after he told the Free Beacon that “not a single Jew” was killed during the 9/11 attacks. Though he later apologized for those comments, AMPAC continues to traffic in conspiracy theories regarding 9/11. AMPAC member and Democratic delegate Al-Sous recently reported live from the scene of the DNC festivities in Charlotte, N.C., for Kevin Barrett, a radio host and 9/11 truther who also is active in AMPAC.
Well put: "Mayor Emanuel says, “I was in the Clinton White House…. It was the same type of battles we have today against a recalcitrant party that put ideology over progress.”
You think so Sid? Denial is refusing to admit that the entire impeachment process of Bill Clinton was partisan fueled........partisan led.....and partisan processed. Other than GOP ideologues the country as whole was embarrassed by the whole spectacle and abroad we were looked at with ridicule. But the right wing zealots hellbent on taking down Clinton didn't really care what people thought. And then there is denial that we were led down a financial primrose path by a President who didn't even win the popular vote and whose own party would rather have a feeble actor talking to a chair than have him speak at it's nominating convention. Rigid unbending extremists ideology makes lots of room for denial.
First of all, Sid must be right. Emanuel resigned as chief of staff in Oct. of 2010. At that time Dems controled both houses. Clinton never recieved 50% of the popular vote. That never seemed to bother you. Clinton was sued for sexual harassment by Paula Jones. He was deposed under oath and lied. He committed perjury which is a felony. The same party that drove Nixon from office for obstruction of justice let the serial felon Clinton walk. The aquittal of Clinton was partisan.
Again, describing the Democratic party of 2012. This is not the party of my origins. It is a party that has been hijacked by far left socialist-leaning people who have abandoned the principles of individual responsibility and reasonable attitudes toward spending taxpayers' hard-earned money (as existed via Truman and Kennedy's administrations). This transition began following the presidency of LBJ and the election of Nixon in the late 60s during what perhaps is the most difficult period of social transition in my lifetime....the Vietnam War, the drug culture, the rise to prominence of radical revolutionary personalities fueled by the drug culture, the growth of the me-first generation fueled by the gradual erosion of the moral ethic that for so long had been the cornerstone of our society. Ironically, the country reacted to Nixon's demise by electing a morally erect but otherwise incompetent Jimmy Carter. After four years of economic disaster and decline of our national backbone, we elected perhaps the greatest leader of my life time, Ronald Reagan, who restored financial sanity and a sense of national pride. Notwithstanding Bush 41's administration, it's been all downhill from there. While we've seen alternating Dem and Repub presidents since then, the undercurrent evident in the attitudes and platform of today's Democratic party reflect a continuing erosion of sound principles of individual responsibility and capitalist economic practices. Argue and press your points all you want, but you cannot deny that our country is not better off today in terms of the intangibles than we were in the historically recent past. If you insist that we are, then you continue to be part of the problem.
Sid, the most telling thing to me that suggests just how far left the radicals have hijacked the dems is when they begin to characterize the core values of our founding fathers and originating documents as " radical" right......well, no...no they are not. They are what we are and have always been
My name is JO'Co and I approve Sid's message... If the Democrats still had leaders like Harry Truman and JFK, guys like me would still be Democrats. If they had any more FDRs, Ronald Reagan would have stayed a Democrat. JFK had one of the largest tax cuts in history and he believed in a strong military. He supported civil rights for all Americans, but he opposed affirmative action. He also opposed abortion, believed in the separation of church and state and supported space exploration. I really didn't have any questions after those things. That was my party... JFK once told his brother Robert that their brother Teddy was "too dumb to be president." So they got shot and fools like Teddy carried the party to disaster and here we are...
There's a reason many young people are Democrats. They have more faith in people and concern about what is right and they don't listen to conservative media and are not full of cynicism.
1. They're living off their parents 2. They don't have jobs and don't pay taxes. 3. They haven't grown up.
