Notre Dame, Florida, and USC are all going to be in the top five over the next several seasons. Of course, the usual big names like Ohio State, Miami, Texas, Oklahoma, Georgia, you know them all, will be there. As far as the fringe teams that should emerge as something special in the next five years, I think Iowa is on the verge of taking the next step from being top 25 caliber to an annual top ten power. California hasn’t beaten a big name outside of USC a few years ago, but Jeff Tedford has the program close to being a monster. Five years from now, Dan Hawkins will make Colorado a national title power.
