Yeah, I've been keeping a low profile on this one.
Mainly because of my unchecked hatred of all things Loser State U.

I expect this to be one of the better games.
LSU's defense is probably better than ours, but our offense is better.
    Looks like a good match.

    My biggest worry is punting.
We have a quorum of HORRIBLE punters.
A game changer in this phase could ruin an otherwise good performance.

This is the 75th Cotton bowl, and I'm hoping for a repeat of the last milestone for this game - the 50th, in which the Aggies beat Bo Jackson and Auburn.

I know you want nobody putting the jinx on this but I just have to say it. Tennessee should have beat LSWho and would have if we didn't have the substitution bonehead play at the end. That was with a non-productive BTB offense (Before Tyler Bray).

    I predict a A&M two TD win.

The SEC needs a W over A&M in order to contribute toward a winning record in the bowls for the conference.

Lose this one, maybe KY to Pitt....and possibly the NC game as well then lo and behold the SEC could tarnish it's rep a little.

Lose this one but win Mon. night... with an NC in hand then the SEC's rep stays intact.

I consider it a bad omen that on the day that the Aggies gear up to face the Hat, that Fran will be announced as the new coach at Texas State. After all he is the architect of that A&M blowout to Tenn.

BTW: Hope you guys enjoyed the season. Longhorns will be back next year. New young dynamic staff will be on hand. Manny Diaz new DCoord and now the OCoord from Boise State Byron Harsin is going to come and be the C0-OCoord with Major...Happy Days are here again!! :)

Co-coordinators? Who's running that monkey show at Texas? Charlie?

Good luck to the Aggies in the Cotton Bowl. They're a great school and I can never bring myself to root for the Mad Hatter...

Sometimes I just don't understand, after the LSU big TD play, the AGs are driving the ball mixing up run/pass extremely well get to 1st and 10 at the 21 yd line and go empty backfield 5 wide on 1st and 2nd down, lets LSU pin its ears back and come after them, and they get a near fumble. Why change what is working?

Well the Tide has shifted towards LSU, their running game is going very well esp up the middle they are blowing out the middle of the A&M defense, couple that with 2 LSU interceptions and it doesn't look good for the AGs.

They desperately need some defensive adjustments at halftime. LSU is up 28-17 and gets the ball to start the 2nd half, unless the Ags can stop them it will be 35-17 very quickly.

yeah there's a fine line between "mixing it up" and "getting away from what is working." If the play had worked we would be saying A&M sure is mixing it up well, and when it doesn't work we wonder why we went away from what is working. All season I thought Alabama should have pounded the ball with Ingram and Richardson, that is until McElroy completed about 6 in a row.

Also Scott when you get a chance you need to resize your Avatar, it's way too wide, width needs to be reduced about 60%.

    Thanks

    The Management! :)

Losing Hodges is really hurting our D.
He's the QB that makes the reads and on field adjustments.

I'm not ready to panic just yet. We've been a better second half team during the win streak, so I expect some adjustments in the next 30.

I'll say one thing, the Cotton Bowl needs to be elevated back to BCS status. That's a great venue and they will consistently have excellent crowds. I'd be in favor of making the Cotton Bowl the designated Bowl for the B12 Champions and let the Mtn West get an AQ designation and have the Fiesta Bowl as their home bowl.

Wow... we've gone all season without letting anyone get behind our D, and now our corners can't keep anyone in front of them.
Making Jefferson look all world... which he isn't.

I'm really getting a little tired of the LSU linemen taking FIFA flops any time our offense starts to get on a bit of a roll.

    What's this?
A&M is threatening... and yet another LSU flopper.

    What a joke.

To me the key play was 3rd and 19 for LSU on their first possession...looks like A&M is going to get the stop..but they didn't, they let the QB get loose for the 1st down run.

Aggie defense never could get the upper hand against the LSU OL and RB's, they were constantly gashed up the middle, made the LSU passing game a lot easier. Also Tannehill's 3 picks were back breakers.

I have to say I like what the Aggies are doing on offense even though they didn't win tonight. That's a very young OL with 2 freshman starters at OL, both of whom were highly recruited and one is Bruce Matthews son. I wouldn't be suprised if they are both AA's as Jr's. Cyrus Gray looks good as well. I think they will be even better next year.

It's the defense that let them down tonight.

I'm with Scott, Screw LSU I really really hate those buggers.

Oh well. That business of players faking injuries to slow down a speed-spread offense was a concern in the 12Pac this year too. Teams were obviously faking injuries to slow down Oregon. The rules committee needs to take a look at that...

God, I hope Michigan signs The Mad Hatter...

Love em or hate em, the Tigers were the best team last night. I expected a much closer game. Sort of reminded me of Florda & LSU whipping our asses in the championship games!

And Jefferson had the game of his career. He was much more consistant last night than any extended time of play during the season. :)
