Poll: 24% of Americans Believe States Have A Right To Secede, Up 10 Points Since Obama Took Office… Hope and change. (CNS) — Nearly one-quarter of Americans believe that states have the right to secede, according to a recent poll from Rasmussen Reports — up 10 percentage points in two years. The latest poll is just one of many that shows that Americans have “serious and growing concern about the federal government,” according to Scott Rasmussen, founder and president of Rasmussen Reports. According to the phone survey released Sunday, 24 percent of Americans believe that states should be able to withdraw from the United States to form their own country, if they want. Nearly 60 percent (59) of Americans say they don’t believe states have the right to secede, while 16 percent are undecided. “We do see that people are concerned about the federal government in a variety of ways,” Rasmussen told CNSNews.com. “51 percent believe that it’s a threat to individual liberties.
How about the opposite. Can we throw California out of the union? We'd be getting rid of debt, illegals, stoners, and Democrats.
8) Years ago there was a proposal to break up California into two states: Northern California and Southern California. The plan fell apart, because Sacramento didn't want be part of a smaller state with San Francisco; San Diego didn't want to be part of a smaller state with Los Angeles; Fresno didn't want to be part of either north or south; and the dope smokers above Sacramento wanted to join Oregon or become their own state... ...One Big Happy Family......Charles Manson
Romney Continues To Tee-Off On Obama’s “Doing Fine” Comment, Will “Go Down In History” As “Extraordinary Miscalculation”… Fore! Via The Hill: Mitt Romney blasted President Obama for comments during a press conference Friday where the president suggested the private sector was “doing fine.” “He said the private sector is doing fine. Is he really that out of touch?” Romney said at an event in Council Bluffs, Ia. “I think he’s defining what it means to be out of touch with the American people.” In the president’s remarks Friday morning, he repeatedly said hiring at private industries was “fine” and occurring at “a solid pace,” arguing instead for additional funds for state and local governments to hire teachers and emergency personnel. But Republicans quickly pounced on his remarks in light of May’s disappointing job numbers, and Romney said the comments could have historic implications. “For the president of the United States to stand up and say the private sector is doing fine is going to go down in history as an extraordinary miscalculation,” Romney told the crowd.

HERMAN CAIN RIDICULES DEAR LEADER! Home - by Cardigan - June 19, 2012 - 19:40 America/New_York - 14 Comments Angry White Dude Former presidential candidate Herman Cain had much to say about Dear Leader and his tactics…he minced no words whatsoever. Listening to him speak is much better than the written word, but that will be your choice. I’ll make this short and sweet and get right to it. This is via TDC: Former GOP presidential nominee Herman Cain said Friday that President Obama “wants to rewrite the Bible according to Obama.” “This president wants to redefine marriage,” Cain said in a speech at the Freedom and Faith Conference in Washington, D.C. “He wants to rewrite the Bible according to Obama. I have an announcement for the President of the United States: ‘Mr. President, God gets all the votes and you can’t rewrite the Bible.’ During the speech, Cain also slammed the president for wanting to “rewrite the dictionary.” “He wants to define fair and fairness,” Cain said. “Last time I checked, fair meant everybody gets treated the same — not the government pick and choose whose going to get favors from the government. So he wants rewrite the dictionary and change the definition of fair to fit what he wants to do.” Retelling a story about a black critic of his who told him that it was “shameless” that a “black man would criticize our black president,” Cain said: “Contrary to some people’s belief, some black people can think for themselves — and that it includes me.”

Romney To Visit Israel, Will Meet With Netanyahu… Via The Hill: Mitt Romney plans a trip to Israel this summer to meet with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and other political leaders, an aide to the Romney campaign confirmed Monday. The Republican presidential hopeful, who has a decades-old friendship with Netanyahu dating back to their time working at a consulting group together early in their careers, hopes the trip can shore up support with Jewish voters ahead of November’s election. He also plans to meet with ‪Salam Fayyad, the prime minister of the Palestinian Authority, and Israeli President Shimon Peres during a brief stop in the country.‬ The Romney team sees Israeli relations as a potential weakness for President Obama, who has not visited the country since his election, although Obama did visit during the 2008 presidential primary season. Romney has repeatedly accused Obama of “throwing Israel under the bus” and having “visibly warmed to the Palestinian cause.” He has said if elected president, Israel would be the first country he visits.
