We have fought Stefanie's fight as if it were our own....she and her husband are heroes to us....my mother, her mother and two of my sisters bravely fight the same fight......everything seems so ******* trivial to me right now. God bless Stefanie, Cris and the kids and everybody else fighting the battle.....I'm out.
Way too young, such a loss! In this mornings Dispatch: http://www.dispatch.com/live/content/index.html
She was obviously quite a woman and great person. May the Spielman family and Ohio State Nation remember the good and she will always be a part of you. We had a similar situation with our ex daughter in law earlier this year about the same age. It's terrible to lose people at that age in the prime of their lives. God bless all.
Chris and Stefanie had many friends and fans here in the Detroit area. He was the heart and soul of the Lions while he played here. She has been ill for some time. Same courage and determination as her husband.
Very sad story, but in her fight she raised the level of awareness and no doubt helped those who are coming up behind her to have a better chance...unless of course Obamacare deepsixes all early diagnosis until it's too late.
Sad news. Both were very active in the Detroit community with various charities. I became a big fan of Spielman after watching him play his heart out and will the Buckeyes to an upset win over Michigan in 87 and admired those same qualities when he played for the Lions. He retired early so that he could spend more time with his wife and wish he had been given more time to be with her. Terry, my best wishes to your Mother, Grandmother, and sisters in wining their battle.
How sad...I think he is one of the best football analysts out there...and a great representative of Ohio State. Hard to understand these things.
