Maybe, just maybe, I can retrieve my buddy Buck T out of the woods with this post....and get the KC Limo driver to start posting more. (1) Ohio st. = fair to midland run the last few years (2001 to present), but they're slowing down. Should be the only roadblock for NEBRASKA to prevent them from playing for and winning 5-6 NC's the next 10 years or so. A concern, but nothing that gets the Blood Pressure too high. (2) Penn st. = eeeehhhhhh.....ok I guess. Haven't done squat since they think they we're worthy successors to share NU's crown in '94. (3) Mich.....now I gotta hold my breath. (4) Well, NU's the new guy on the block starting July 2011....but it looks like we'll start a new chapter of ruling the roost in a new neighborhood before all the boxes are unpacked. (5) Deal with it ladies. (6)
Sounds kinda like the PSU fans when they came in...very cocky...wasn't quite as easy as they thought. You've always been a fun, Hoorah! kind of guy, AJ...but your team has to do it on the field.
When in Marineland, it's OOORRRAAAAHHHHH..... That HOORAH guteral sound is the Army's version of vomiting....
AJ, I am elated that Nebraska is in the B10: Midwestern public university with solid academics; great football history; rabid fan base. The B10 hit a home run by convincing the Huskers to join I would have liked ND or Texas to join but from a geographic sense, the addition of Texas made no sense, and I can appreciate ND's desire to maintain its historical status as an independent. But, has the Husker program ever inspired prose as good as this? I remember the stand at Thermopylae The Greek Guard made one day; I remember the legions that Caesar used To shatter the Gallic sway; And I remember across the years Two banners that crowned the crest, When Yale was king of the conquered East, And Michigan ruled the West. At night in my humble den I dream Of the glories that used to be ? Of Hannibal taking the Alpine Trail, Of Drake on the open sea; And then I wander the ancient ways To dream a dream I love the best, When Yale was king of the conquered East, And Michigan ruled the West.--- Grantland Rice
Grantland Rice, I thought he only wrote things like... "Outlined against a blue-gray October sky, the Four Horsemen rode again. In dramatic lore their names are Death, Destruction, Pestilence, and Famine. But those are aliases. Their real names are: Stuhldreher, Crowley, Miller and Layden. They formed the crest of the South Bend cyclone before which another fighting Army team was swept over the precipice at the Polo Grounds this afternoon as 55,000 spectators peered down upon the bewildering panorama spread out upon the green plain below." BTW: AJ I have to give Bobda the highest commendation as a chauffeur, he's careful, kind and courteous.

No kiddin' if memory serves me correctly when Ara retired we were close to UM in total wins and lead in winning %. Ara had closed that gap pretty well....but things started going south during the Faust years and after Lou retired it went to hell.

That's a pretty interesting site Bobda. Playing with numbers...if you go from 1913 to 1953 which is Rockne as a player through Leahy's last year then the Irish are #1 in both wins and %.
