I am starting this topic so we all can exchange our views and picks. Should be a wide open tournament and a ton of upsets prior to the meeting of the final four teams in Atlanta. GO Bucks!
Looks like a possible Ohio State/Notre Dame match up, been a long time since we've played in basketball. I can't remember the last time.
One game at a time TOK, one at a time......best of luck in your opener. www.und.com/sports/m-baskbl/spec-rel/031513aah.html
We'll need some luck, Iowa State is the #1 3 point shooting team in the country and they got hot in the B12 tourney. I've already seen them picked as the Cinderella team in the bracket.
Terry, I am anxious to see the odds as these games go in the early rounds. Like you, I cannot remember the last time we played Notre Dame, will have to do some research.
Terry here is some current information. I forgot all about the 2008 game in Indianapolis. http://www.und.com/sports/m-baskbl/spec-rel/031513aah.html
Vegas has L'ville as a slight favorite....but hampered by a tough bracket: http://msn.foxsports.com/collegebasketball/story/ncaa-tournament-las-vegas-louisville-slight-favorite-to-win-national-championship-indiana-duke-miami-florida-031713
I wound up with a Duke Indiana final. I shook my head at the idea and went back over the brackets, but honestly.. game by game, that's how I see it playing out. I'm probably wrong.. so there's that.
A weird thought, but might this be the year that none of the #1 seeds are in the final four? With the parity in college basketball this year, nothing would surprise me!
I think there are definitely more possible upsets for the top seeds. I think Louisville will make it, they have great guard play on both offense and defense. The rest are all suspect. I went ahead and picked Gonzaga to make the final four more as a heart pick than actually thinking that they can make it.

I actually considered the whole 'no number one seeds making it' angle and consider it quite possible. However, whenever a season seems to be like this one and nothing seems to make sense, come tourney time it seems that the top seeds just roll on into the final four. Who knows? This could be the year.
Barry O' picked IU to win it all with the Gators, Ohio State and Louisville rounding out the final 4. I wonder who Joel is picking for the final 4.
Who would have predicted Kentucky to be 1 and done in the NIT losing to Robert Morris? This season is the exact opposite of Kentucky's NCAA Championship season.
Giving the Devil his due... I have to compliment Cal on his comment last night after the game. Basically, he said that 'Robert Morris outplayed them. They deserved to win and it would have been a shame if Kentucky made that last shot.' The reality is, when you're Kentucky, you're Kentucky and there's just no good excuse for something like that. In the meantime:
I see that Mich State fans have bought a ton of South Dakota State gear and are planing on masquerading as SDSU fans during the UM/SDSU game. LOL>>. MSU Fans By South Dakota State Gear I guess the economy in Michigan is looking up!
