What a great time we had in Kansas City over two days. I think AJ has earned the title Skybox Activity Director so we can anxiously await future plans!  Seriously, thanks AJ it was really fun and worthwhile.
Add Mary and I to the list of those who really enjoyed the weekend and appreciate the work that AJ did. Great times with great folks.
A big OOOOOOOOORAH to the Marine, he put on a great weekend. I had never met AJ in person before and he's even better live than on the phone in my back swing!!
Just a quick note to say thanks to AJ for organizing the KC outing. It was a pleasure to be there and had a great time. The added treat was meeting AJ's mom and dad and his two sons: two great kids and two great parents. I'm glad I finally met so many whom I had wanted to meet for years.
Bobda took the words right outta my mouth. What a great, fun experience! The game itself was terrific, the experience in the like-new, state of the art ballpark was phenomenal. But the best part of the experience was meeting and chatting with my Skybox friends and their wives and families. AJ's parents are wonderful people, fun to be with. His sons are exceptional young men with magnetic personalities, flawless manners, and firm handshakes. I could go on and on.....Bobda, my midwest comrade......Cindy and Tom.....Bill and Jeanne.....and of course, Terry Stu, Gip and Mary.. It was everything I had hoped it would be and much more. I have only three regrets: 1) that there was not enough time after the game to carry to conclusion some very interesting conversations, especially with Jeanne and Cindy; 2) that Gip and Mary had to leave early. They are great people to spend time with; and 3) that I'm responsible for the wear and tear on Terry's left ear from my chatter during the game.
Absolutely my pleasure folks. I would do that again next week if we had a chance. Thanks to all that made the effort to travel. I think that shows we are a pretty unique and tight bunch that was formed just a few years ago. Thanks to all the kind things you said about my family and the meager effort I put into setting up the whole reunion. It was a piece of cake trust me. My regrets are that we ran outa time. We shoulda got there at 12:00 noon and stayed there till 1 a.m. The ball game was filled with exciting moments. My Dad did make a comment after the 2nd dropped outfield ball by the Rangers that he thought this was MLB and not AAA... Great to finally shake hands with Sid, Bobda, Doc, Stu....all were as advertised on the Skybox...great people, knowledgeable sports fans and now my friends. Stu even gave up a chance to meet Archie Manning to attend our outing!! Way to take one for the team Stu!! Even better to once again spend time with Bill and Jeanne, Tom and Cindy, Gipper and his bride Mary who I haven't met before, and Bills Sister and husband. Everybody made the entire time very, very enjoyable. One thing I did miss the opportunity to say at the reunion was to thank our 3 moderators and the job they do and the time they spend to provide us with our little world we call the Skybox. Thank you gentleman. Anyway, I'm glad we got together, the weather held out, and hopefully a good time was had by all. Thanks again everybody!! BTW, Nebraska has a Thursday night ESPN game with Mizzou in Oct in Columbia.....and they let ya tailgate there....just saying folks.....
That would have been Archie Griffin. Thanks again, AJ...had a great weekend. BTW...I met a guy at the hotel that said they do a lot of fun tailgating at Brewer's games...not quite as central for driving but we have a built-in assistant co-ordinator in Milwaukee.
