I actually think this game has a lot of potential for being a good game. Colt McCoy is going to start, but is there any residule from his injury? If he is ineffective because of that, then the whole complex of the game changes. I don't think we've faced an offense that runs the option as much as the Aggies do since we played them last year in College Station. They did pretty well with the option against our defense. Our run defense has been terrific this year though, mainly because of Chiziks commiting both safeties to stop the run game. Ultimately the key for the Ag's though is can McGee throw on the 'horns like everybody else has thrown on us. If he can then I think the Ags have a shot at winning. The Texas running game has been somewhat disappointing this year, I thought that with a RS Frosh at QB, and most of the OL returning along with Selvin Young and Jamall Charles at RB that we would be a powerfull running team. Instead if it weren't for Colt's passing we'd probably have 3 or 4 losses now. Which is why it's so important for us to have Colt 100%. I don't know what to think about the Aggie defense, they come out and seem to get run over iearly in the game then they make adjustments and play stout the rest of the way. I think Texas wins 27-24....closer than it should be! Terry
Sadly our passing game is about as sophisticated as a finger-painting by my 2 year old niece... no offense to her! One thing has become abundantly clear in watching Fran's "offenses" - he has no understanding of the forward pass. McGee is being coached NOT TO MAKE MISTAKES. It has been admitted that many of our 3 wide looks have only ONE READ. When you guys get one-on-one coverage, your QB will throw it up to let your WR make a play. Not in our offense. If the WR is not totally uncovered we won't throw it... Sad because we finally have some athletic WR's that can make those plays. At least I suspect they can. I can't tell you how many times I've seen the QB throw the ball away due to a blitz. His first short "option" is covered, and the rest of the receivers are 35 yards down field running a post and never looking back. It makes me ill to think of how many yards McGee passed for in highschool, only to see him converted to an option QB because of our $2mil coach's ignorance. I actually want to lose. That's how bad I want Fran gone.
 Good JO'Co want to see the Aggies tear the LHorns into itsy-bitsy little pieces and leave the scraps for the dogs... Bad JO'Co wants Texas to hammer Franchione so bad that the boosters revolt and put him out of his misery and put an end to Scott's suffering...
Frans butt is safe for another year. They get to 9 - 3 by beating the Longhorns to push them to 9 - 3 as well. Now who goes to the B12 championship game? Will Oklahoma rally to win to guarantee a trip to meet Nebraska in the B12 championship?
Fran again proves he is much smarter than anyone else... Refuses to throw the ball on first down - EVER. You could argue that it worked, but when you consider our average gain on all those first downs was 2 yards I think it was more in SPITE of him. The kids fought hard. I'm sorry Kellen Heard had to sully the win with that cheap shot that got him ejected from the game. I don't expect to see him in the bowl game, even tho we need him.
Scott... <t>Congrats to you. Nice win in a snoozer of a game. The winning drive was a thing of beauty. I noticed they kept raving about Babino then watched Aggie blockers decleat him inside the Texas 20 twice in a row with great blocks. Couldn't agree with you more on the moronic late hit by #91. That was as bad as it gets and he needs to sit the bowl game. Did you see the way this guy was acting on the bench after the ejection?<br/> <br/> Nice win for the Aggies and my Aggie son in law is enjoying his Friday.</t>
Congrats on the Win today Scott. I would have never even in my wildest dreams thought you could run for 250yds on our defense...pass for it sure but not run for it. McGee made a lot of great runs as did the other backs. You are offically a service academy though!!! Not that there is anything wrong with that!
