I'll probably have a bunch of boring stuff to say about our great trip to Texas and my lousy adventure coming home when I get a bit more time (I was actually booked on a total of 8 flights trying to get back.)

But I want it said that the Texas Longhorn fans are the most classy and gracious fans that I have ever experienced, and I have been to quite a few venues as a visitor. We partied three nights and talked with an awful lot of them, both before and after the game. And I have never been stopped on the street by as many folks just wanting to say nice things to us.

Even our host was at his best behavior.

Stu, welcome back and along with G-man....WELL DONE! Sorry I missed the trip. No doubt a great visit.

TOK, I've heard similar comments re: TX fans from a variety of sources. A real credit to the Longdoggies. Great stuff.

    A few random ramblings:

We were ambling down 6th street and passed a bar filled with some kind of cultists...they were all dressed in a strange subdued orange color...they kept doing some kind of obvious devil inducing gesture where they would hold out two fingers like a devil's horns, point them at us, and chant in unison "The ice of Texas is upon you!"....scary stuff.

I learned how to make friends...just say "Oklahoma Sucks!" and you are a brother for life, regardless of the fact that your team just beat Texas.

Texas women...what can I say...they all looked gorgeous...like they were cloned. I now am becoming an advocate of human cloning.

 Denim skirts and cowboy boots......what more can a guy ask for?
Poor Josh being anchored to three "old farts" One sage thing my grandson said to me as we cruised down 6'th street friday night was "Gramps this place is like Mardi-Gras without the boobies and beads".......he was right! All I can say is "Doc Tooth" was the "host with the most" I even got my picture taken with a Texas Ranger......right before he read me my rights! What a host....what a town.....what a game...what a trip!!!!!!!! :D
