Hey jif, I spent over half my day getting you back online, you have to post more than this.
JIF, Bill reported back to Terry and I that your account was showing as deactivated. There is only three things that I know of that will cause that. Two are automated and one is manual. The manual issue is a moderator setting your account to inactive to keep you from posting if you have been a bad boy. The automated issues are: 1) The account holder making a change to his/her e-mail address in his/her profile. 2) E-mails from the system to the member being rejected when you are "watching" a topic by recieving notification e-mails when replies are made and those replies are rejected due to inactive or full e-mail account. I am sure the manual issue was not the case on this instance. What about the two automated issues. Could one of those have been the problem?
This is not jif it is Gator Bill. Tom, I think I didn't get back on this one, the account that was deactivated was jif in the mini state and as I discovered later he was using the jif5 account and it was not deactivated. Both are active at the moment as I keep trying to work this out. Meaning he is unable to post again and I just don't understand that. I'm going to make a post here with the other account and if it works for me let him try that one.
This is Tom... I am assuming that you reset his password back to what you reset it to last and we are able to log in using that password without any other changes made. I am going to suggest that we make Joel a temp account that he can use for about six weeks. We will monitor this account with a password known to nobody but us three. That is the only way to determine what is happenig. I will create that account, post with it, and send Joel the password. I am changing the password to this account and will send to Bill and Terry.
This is Tom... Joel has a new account for a few weeks until we get a handle on this... I am sending Joel the password.
Tom, I hope it works, there is already two accounts and the one does seem to keep resetting it's password. It is very weird. I reset both them again today and he has been unable to log on, let's see if this one works. Bill
This is Tom again... Joel just sent me a message that he logged off and "nothing" when he tried to log back in. I am using the same password we gave him and I am on. The following is now known: 1) Joel is not changing the password and istyping the new one 2) Nothing is happening to the account or I would not be able to get in. Joel, I have never heard of this but something is happening on your end. Does not make any sense.
thanks for the help, men...lets keep this as is for a few days...I use this desk top early mornings, and evenings so I will keep testing to see if it holds . Thanks again!!
