I have to think if Tenn loses three in a row...making it two in a row vs. Vanderbilt that Fulmer will be sitting on a scorching hot seat next week. With Ainge back how could the Vols lose. In fact...they lose this one and they're back to being the "v"ols in my book....
Ainge is no where near 100%. He is looking on target so far with only one "way overthrown" pass. He just doesn't look very mobile... even less than usual! Two nice drives to this point but bot resulting in field goals. Gotta score 7's not 3's. :x
If that had been Gafney, that 2 point conversion would have been good! Tennessee goes in at half time up by 12, Tennessee 19 Vandy 7
I didn't watch much of the second half due to a bad head and shoulder ache... a nap seemed like a better thing at the time. No heroics for Vandy this year. Though not world beaters this year, this Tennessee team is not the team of last year. They have purpose and desire working against their opponents. Sometimes that is enough, as in today. Sometimes it is not. Tennessee only allows a meaningless field goal in the 4th quarter to win 39 – 10. A great season is not defined by three losses. Finishing with half of the losses that you had last year does! On to Kenturkey and a good bowl game. Hopefully, with no more losses, that spells momentum going into 2007.
