    You'll notice that most of the better Vol fans this year are being awfully quiet.

    They think they're back and I pretty much agree with them.

    The catch phrase in 1998 was "One rung at a time". Tennessee started out the season ranked #10. We hit #1 in week 10 and never looked back. Kansas and UCLA were the only other two unbeaten teams and lost in week 14 giving Florida State the invitation to play Tennessee in the championship game.

    Nobody in the know uttered the "National Championship" phrase. It was always One rung of the ladder at a time.

    Now, the Coaches preseason poll has us at #10... I like that launch pad!!!

    I'm thinking that if they break a certain streak this year that everyone is saying they will break then we will hear plenty.... :wink:

    .... and why not? I'm talking about them beating Bama of course... :lol:

    Hey.... beating Florida would be nice.... kinda sweet.... but not like beating Bama. 8) :D
