Martin joins Kentucky coaching staff LEXINGTON, Ky. -- Former Tennessee quarterback Tee Martin has been hired by Kentucky as wide receivers coach. Wildcats coach Joker Phillips announced the hiring Tuesday. Martin led the Volunteers to their last national championship in 1998. He was drafted by the Pittsburgh Steelers in 1999 and spent six season playing professionally in the NFL, NFL Europe and the CFL. He spent last season with the University of New Mexico, where he was quarterbacks coach. Tee Martin New WR Coach At Kentucky
I saw that earlier but got distracted. Thanks for posting. I know that Tee is deep down Orange. However, I know he is loyal to the program he is with. It will be difficult for him to stand across the field from the Big Orange. However, he will give his all for Kentucky on that cold November day.
Lot's of assistants coach against their alma maters. Daryl Royal was an AA QB for OU, and he bleeds Orange and White since he took the UT job in 1959 or there abouts. Mike Alston, ND DL coach went to Michigan. He said he can't wait to beat them this fall. My guess is that Tee cherishes his days as a UT QB, but knows that unless he's back coaching at Tenn, that he has to beat them, help beat them and celebrate beating them when ever his team plays them.
