I have certainly come to accept that the NFL does not want Tim Tebo's specific abilities behind center playing Qb.

And yet.... I read stats like these for KC's Alex Smith and I wonder how a guy like Tebow who has better production through the air, an ability to win games and tremendous production on the ground cannot get the same shot Smith is getting at KC.

"Through two weeks this season, Smith is 15-of-26 (57.7 percent) for 156 yards with 0 TD when targeting wide receivers. Smith's 6.0 yards per attempt targeting his wide receivers this season is more than a yard less than he averaged targeting his wide receivers in 2014 (7.2)."

Reminds me of Jimmy Clausen at Notre Dame. He would have stat lines like
18-27 152 yrds. He had such a lousy offensive line that quick outs and bubble screens were all he had time for.

Obviously the NFL does not see TT as a QB. I only wonder how they see Geno Smith as one.

It's a tough gig...the NFL didn't see Brady Quinn or Matt Leinart as QB's either and I thought those guys would be top NFL QB's. Tebow I never could see how he'd be a NFL QB. I thought if he converted, he'd have a better chance at being Pope. :)

I have said before that practice and prettiness throwing the ball in practice seem to take over the decision making process for the NFL mgt.

Tebow had good numbers with Philly in the preseason games and was throwing the ball better than he ever has probably. His ability to produce with the run and keep drives going with his legs is possibly unmatched by any other current NFL Qb.

And there is that knack for getting job done... getting the W.

After seeing Philly cut him loose after such preseason promise I definitely have given up on seeing him play again.... and that's too bad.

Here were the stats in his last preseason game with Philly:

"He finished the game having completed 11 of 17 passes for 189 yards with two touchdowns and an interception, and ran the ball four times for 32 yards."

Completed over 60% of his passes and ran for 8 yards per carry.

    Then cut....
