    Someone go ahead and have the surreal gumption to tell us that Charlie Weiss is the Pied Piper for Notre Dame

    ....Nothing could be further from reality....ND today is in its worst state since Gerry Faust cried after Miami ate them up 58-7

    Tyrone Willingham is a much better coach than Weiss.....he got the NoDoers to some decent W-L records, rankings and bowls

    Don't even go there with the blame game on Willingham or his predecessors......these are Charlie Weiss players on the field......the brilliance of his ineptitude is so glaring that a team that lost to a D2 team plunders them 38-0 at Touchdown Jesus's sacred home field.

    Oh Ye the Faithful......arent you glad you gave Weiss a fat 10 year contract to go with his ever growing girth??????

    Yah Mon.......heck ....my prediction of an 0-8 gets to be crystal clear now......you have a team that can't pass.......can't tackle....can't block.....and certainly can't even post a single miserable plus one yard in 33 atttempts at rushing on a weak Michigan defense that was ripped up the past two weeks.

    C'mon....give me a break......Garbage is Garbage......and Notre Dame is at the bottom of the malodorous heap of disastrous failure that the starting QB bolts out to enroll at Northern Illinois.......Yikes !!! what an insult.

    Hooray for Charlie Weiss !!!!....the Offensive Genius !!!.....oh yeah

    :shock: The 13 points scored by the Irish are the fewest through three games since the 1933 squad scored 12 in starting the season 1-1-1.

    The most worrisome statistic, though, is that because the Irish have given up 23 sacks, leading to 167 yards lost, they are averaging minus-4.7 yards rushing.

    They haven't scored a touchdown yet this season while giving up 89 points

    Clausen was sacked so many times (6) it was an embarrassment

    Carlson may be the best TE in the country. Armando Allen (from Hialeah Miami Lakes) and Clausen were 5 star recruits. They come in rated higher than Quiin and Walker were.
    Weis has been going to BCS bowls with poor telent Willingham teams. Just wait til he's had time to build his own team.

    Oh and as to recruiting classes here's the latest rankings from the Scout Miami board.

    Lol...you gotta love the Gonz he make so many bad sports predictions. I'm glad he's doing so well in real estate because he'd be broke as a sports prognosticator!

    Typical Gonzo BS.

    I did look at the recruiting rankings on the Miami Scout site and saw that Notre Dame was ranked #1.

    Armando Allen was not a 5 star running back according to your own source, Scout network.

    Your analysis of Charlie Weis is unprofessional.

    I'll leave this topic alone for now but it may end up being locked. I first want to see how the Notre Dame folks react.

    But if it ends up being up to me this topic will be locked as not living up to Skybox standards.

    Gonzo, sometimes I think you need to get a life.

    And congratulations on the shellacking you put on FIU.

    Gonz, I'll be forwarding your above posts to the ND admissions office just in case your son decides to apply there. When considering the thousands of applications and looking for factors which might influence their decisions, I'm sure the admissions folks would like to see the manner in which an applicant's parent expresses himself when venting his feelings about Notre Dame.

    So Gonzo here was your post a few weeks ago

    <<<There are eight games that are almost sure losers for ND with 4 at the end that are W s although I wouldn't count even Duke or Air Force as sure things.

    Tell me, with the brouhaha that brought Weiss in....with the exit of Brady Quinn....with the suspension of their star tackle...with the academic constraints that blow out the majority of the blue chip recruits......just what can ND do to keep Weiss from going to a more competitive team after this season? >>>

    Well, is he worth keeping or would we be better off without him? Since you post conflicting crap every week, I can't wait for this week's answer.

    hey Gonz

    <r>How 'bout we stick to the facts here.<br/>
    <br/>
    I will even use your own schools history to help you out with 'what's going on' at ND. <br/>
    <br/>
    You remember back when you guys were busted for cheating, right? Well they hired a guy named Butch Davis. He was the pied piper for that Miami program. He rebuilt the Phoenix from the ashes... <br/>
    <br/>
    His records by year:<br/>
    <br/>
    1995: 8-3 Conference Champs<br/>
    1996: 9-3 Conference Champs<br/>
    <B><s></s>1997 5-6 <e></e></B><br/>
    1998 9-3<br/>
    1999 9-4<br/>
    2000 11-1 Conference Champs<br/>
    <br/>
    The next year, Larry Coker wins the National Title riding the back of the program that Davis built.<br/>
    <br/>
    ND didn't have the major NCAA sanctions. They did, however, self-impose a culture of jackassery that doomed its recruiting and left its program in dire straights (anyone know that at one point Chuckles was down to 60 something scholarship players at one point?)<br/>
    <br/>
    I would think that you, of all people, would understand that sometimes the bottom drops out in a year other than the first or second... This bullsh*t that the '3rd year should be OK since its all his kids' is crap. Just like Butch David, Chuckles is rebuilding and he is using his kids....and they are all freshman and sophs</r>

    by the way

    <t>Re Ty:<br/>
    <br/>
    <br/>
    HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA<br/>
    <br/>
    His team faded into the sun against Ohio State. Just like last year, thru the first 4 or so games the media clamored that Ty was showing how much better he was... Then when the Huskies collapsed, nary a word was said while Chuckles marched onto a BCS birth.</t>

    CocoLoco......I find some logic in the analogy you posted.....does have a resemblance to what Miami went through.

    But can you say that Weis is a better coach than.......say Urban Meyer?....here are two three year coaches.....one is riding high while the other one is now emphasizing tackling and blocking.

    I have neber bought into the notion that an NFL coach makes a good college coach (USC's Carroll excepted).......or vice versa as in Nick Saban.

    You got other coaches with far inferior schools doing a kick-ass job like Schiano at Rutgers, and nowhere it is said that ND enjoys one of the richest and most adamantly loyal fan and alumni base in the country......games are always sold out....all the facilities are first class.....yadayadayada.

    So......whats wrong?.....these are Charlie's kids playing out there.....I am at a loss as to why Weiss is still enjoying his job free of criticism and calls for his ouster......BUT WAIT.......its only the beginning.....lets recheck this in about four weeks.

    I say right here that Charlie does not get past next season as NDs coach.....he's on the ropes.....an abysmal failure

    Hey, your arguments can be on cue......I just can't see it.

    <t>You are comparing apples and oranges.<br/>
    <br/>
    When Zook was fired, there wasn't one Florida fan that complained about the talent that he was bringing in. They complained that he couldn't win with the talent that was there. SOS was winning just fine... Then Zook comes in, improves recruiting over what SOS had been doing recently but couldn't get it done on the field, and then Urban takes over a ship loaded with ammo that just needed direction..<br/>
    <br/>
    At ND, we had back to back tomato cans with the last being worst than the first, amazingly. The first brought in some physical players, but didn't understand the bigger picture...and he loved to cast blame...but there were SOME players.. Ty takes over and has one decent class...followed by two totally terrible classes that were virtually devoid of any offensive line talent/ (and more important) depth.<br/>
    <br/>
    As Terry mentioned, in another section I believe, Ty had an awful Offensive coordinator...So we have little OL talent, almost ZERO depth, and they aren't being taught anything...Bring in CW who believes he can simply show the players where to be and what to do...and they will win.<br/>
    <br/>
    Chuckles took that pro set mentality that the players already know the basics, they just have to be put in a position to win.<br/>
    <br/>
    That isn't how college works. They must be first taught the fundamentals, and then they can exploit his superior schemes to their advantage... <br/>
    <br/>
    Remember, he wasn't an HC in the pros or college. He will make mistakes. We knew this coming in. Hopefully, he learns from it. If he does, you're in trouble.</t>

    Why are we even talking to Gonzo about this, he knows nothing about college football other than taking gratiuous shots at ND, Gator and Ohio State people here on the SkyBox.
