I've been giving my local NJ Congressman Chris Smith hell since the bailouts started. he is a Republican who voted No. However, he painstakingly writes me at least every other month to keep me updated, no doubt because I gave him so much grief early on. Here is an excerpt from his letter dated September 28, 2009.

Warning! will make your blood boil.

from TARP Special Inspector General Neil Barofsky: " the US Department of Treasury has created 12 separate programs involving Government and private funds of up to almost $3 trillion". "This sum is almost four times the original advertised price tag of $700 billion"

    Not shocking enough?

Barofsky continues, "TARP has evolved into a program of unpecedented scope, scale and complexity" and that " total potential federal government support could reach up to $23.7 trillion".

My comment: I don't know what to say.

I'm not asking for much... Just give me 100 acres more than 20 miles from the nearest paved road and $500k. That with my savings would keep Cindy and I happy the rest of our lives.
