In front of 40,000 fans ( 20,000 of whom were from the RED SOX NATION) Sox win after being behind in 8th inning! Texas Stadium was loud..very loud with "LETS GO RED SOX!" America's team! Every stadium (except Yankee stadium) Has more Red Sox fans then the opposition! Magic number is...Ricko? Line up the rotation for the playoffs! jif
Sweeping the stRangers is nothing to crow about... I think several of the local highschools have better pitching!
In recent years it seems the Sox haven't done well in early season road games at Arlington. This year they had two series right off, and needed the sweep in this one just to end up 4-2. I'll take it, what with Cleveland going into Fenway and series against the Yankees, Oakland and Atlanta coming up in June. Speaking of pitching, that was the diminutive Dustin Pedroia hitting the long ball off the mighty Gagne in the 9th yesterday. The Sox want Dustin to hit more for average, but he's always out there trying to kill the ball.
Dustin is improving game by game. I wasnt a fan of his at first...but the kid plays hard and makes contact. MAGIC NUMBER RICKO?
re: " Every stadium (except Yankee stadium) Has more Red Sox fans then the opposition!" Ahem... Here's a stadium where you'll never see 20,000 Red Sox fans...
If Dodgers are lucky enough to meet Sox in this years world series..there will be 20,000 members of red sox nation th the LA Stadium!!
 I don't think so... If the Red Sox come to town, those seats won't be available. The only time you see those seats open is for lesser competition in the middle of the week. Remember, there's tons of converted New England Dodger Dogs out here, including me humble self and Dodger owner Frank McCourt. We'll be there, but not to root for the Sox... By comparison, the last Yankee visit here saw almost no Yankee fans able to obtain tickets for the opener, with about 10,000 being able to get in for the final game of the series... No Dodger-Red Sox games scheduled for this year...
