Hooray for Indianapolis! I read that 13,000 people (not including moi) signed up for 8,000 volunteer positions.

Super Bowl is nothing compared to what the Iowa Cacuses bring to Iowa every 4th year! :)

    Terry, LOL!

Gip, Although I'm tempted to head downtown to experience the madness during the week prior to the game, I think I'll experience it from my living room.

Are your daughter and son-in-law going to the game?

Don't think so Sid. My grandaughter Maggie is undergoing a rather serious operation tomorrow in Chicago and she'll still be recuperating that weekend. We're going down to help. We'll try to stay out of Fishers. :)

Take care of that granddaughter. She will need her grandparents' love to speed her recuperation.

Just got word that Maggie is in recovery. It was assumed that the growth inside her ear had completely destroyed her inner ear bones. the surgeon indicated that there was enough left of it that it could be reconstructed. Originally it was thought that she would need a second surgery ifor prostetic implants and that there would be a small chance of hearing restoration. We've been told that there won't be need for a second surgery and that she has a good chance for restored hearing in the ear. Best news possible. Thanks for the well wishes and prayers.

Fantastic news! Mom and Dad (grandparents included) must be overjoyed.....

My wife had a similar situation as an infant that destroyed her hearing on one side and outside of the moment of insanity when she married me, has had no material impact on her quality of life in any way shape of form.
