Good article.....great family, great role models, great kid, great player....we have a few football players that could learn alot from this kid. http://www.nytimes.com/2010/12/26/sports/ncaabasketball/26buckeyes.html?_r=2
I loved this part! I often wonder how good I might have been if my dad had put a golf club in my hands at age 2 and demanded I make a full shoulder turn!! I know we all know this, but there are a lot of great kids out there playing college sports and going to class and graduating and doing good things with their lives. Only a fraction are the self aggrandizing, entitled, spoiled children who cause most of the problems. But then that type of story doesn't cause people to watch Sports Center.
I had a sand box, how much trouble would it have been to cut down a wedge for me and demanded I hit behind and through the ball keeping the club face open! I coulda' been a champion!
I love his Dad....old school, great values and a teachers mindset. Family, schoolwork, team and fundamentals. Never a bad combination.....
