What the hell happened? I fell asleep with A&M easily in control of this game and woke up to find that Auburn came back to win in the 4th quarter!!
Jimbo is trying to win with a Sumlin team. Believe it or not... they are better than last year. This team loses to SCAR and Kentucky with the previous staff. Unfortunately... when we have the game right there to take, we make the mistake, (toss an INT)and then the other team's (Auburn this time) receivers suddenly become NFL all-pros. Some of the catches made on their last drives were ridiculous... not that the Aggie DB's were going to make a play... they are terrible. Ah well... Coming in we figured this would be a rough transition year... we looked ahead of sched at the beginning, but I think we're about where we thought. Ole Miss should be an interesting game. They will probably pass for 500 yards... if they can get the ball since they can't stop the run.
Meh... it is what it is this year. We'll be better next year. We redshirted a lot of help from Jimbo's first class, especially on the OL. We've got some hosses committed for the DB, and they will get every shot to play next season. I'm not worried about it. I've seen enough improvement to know we are on the upward trajectory.
Geez, other than we didn't blow the game in the 4th quarter but were basically pounded for four quarters it almost sounds like the Gators dealing with the hand we were dealt. But we did lose to the Aggies last year on a last minute field goal. Gators have a long way to go but I believe we have the coach to get us there.
Lousy game for you to attend Bill. I'm hoping for much better luck for you this coming Saturday but it appears we have regressed rapidly since the LSU game. We could still have a 10-3 season finishing ranked in the top 12 or so if we can somehow manage to regroup. We'll see this Sat.
