Is he nuts? Why would he want to jump back into coaching and in a new league at this point in his life. Play golf, enjoy the grandkids, hang around Gator Football. Not to mention he's now invited Tim Tebow to camp to be his QB! How could that not work out for both him and Tebow, it's a slam dunk success right! https://www.usatoday.com/story/sports/2018/04/10/tim-tebow-invitation-play-steve-spurrier-orlando-aaf-football-team/502438002/
I think many coaches, especially well-known coaches, who have enjoyed success, have a difficult time retiring.
He quit on So. Carolina after the season started and the start didn't go well...I figured he was really done, the fire had gone out. I thought after the Pro football gig in Washington didn't work out and he was fired, that the So. Carolina job was the job where he just wasn't finished coaching. But when he quit I figured yup now he's done.
