Good Lord if the computer models I am watching come true I may need to send you my John boat to get around. One model was showing 37 inches for Corpus Christi and 13 inches in Houston.... As Gipper said good luck and lets pray it doesn't happen...
bah... That just means they put the tall tires on their trucks. 8) <iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/Y_wxjyGrhwc" frameborder="0"></iframe>
TOK, If you need a safe dry harbor, we will move Lloyd out of the guest bedroom that he presently inhabits. Seriously, though, the weather forecasts I have read are scary. Wishing you the best and hope the weather forecasters in Texas are as inaccurate as the ones we have in Wisconsin.
Hope to hear from him soon. From what I've seen, Houston has been spared the wind damage... but boy are they getting the rain. Let us know soon Terry!
You are correct Scott. Rockport, just barely north of Corpus Christi was pretty much leveled. Houston will most likely get hit worse in act 2 when the storm returns to the gulf. http://www.statesman.com/news/state--regional/breaking-devastation-rockport-police-looking-for-possible-victims/oFHIVSescpGp5RINVPRcCI/
8) Diane talked to Terry on the phone. What he said sounded like, "blub....glub...glub.....gurgle....."
8) Yes, I was kidding, but Diane and Terry really did exchange text messages. Terry is hunkered down there and hoping this is all over by the end of the week.
IF you need to relocate for a while, we'll be back home on Labor Day. You're more than welcome.....bring you clubs.
Well tomorrow I go back to work. My office is fine, and will be ready for business. The big difference is that I previously had a 5 mile drive to the office which usually took 20 minutes. Now due to flooding blocking my way to the office I will have to go a much longer route that will be 30 miles and take probably 1 1/2 hours or longer.
Keep in mind that with some roads blocked, everyone will be squeezing into alternate routes. You may see extremely heavy traffic on that alternate route.
You are correct Tom, on Friday I went to the office and the routes were as you described. I might leave at 6 am to get to the office by 8:30 and then adjust depending.
Do you have all your utilities ? After Sandy my business was closed for a week and a half because we lost water, electricity and natural gas. God luck to you.
Terry, I'm very sorry for your inconvenience getting to your office, but as no one needs to tell you, you're fortunate to have avoided the plight of so many thousands of your fellow citizens. Based on the relief efforts happening in my city, the entire country is working to help in any way possible.
Traffic for me is back to normal, but business is slow as many of my patients are still dealing with issues whether it be their flooded homes or other things. I expect Sept to be my worst month of business in quite awhile. Sid could you box up some of your unused $100 bills and send them my way!
Haha! Give me a day to crank up the printer and run some new ones. Now what did I do with that plate?
