Former Houston QB O'Korn the next guy up. I remember O'Korn from his freshman and soph seasons at Houston. He had an excellent freshman season but was terrible his soph season and lost the job midseason. I remember his transferring to Michigan and being suprised, I figured he have to find a Sun Belt Conf team.

edit: Also wondering how the doc's/trainers on the sideline didn't know he'd broken his collarbone. It's a common enough injury that I'd think they'd recognize the signs and symptoms and have taken him to the locker room for an x-ray before letting him back on the field.

    Terry,

I had similar thoughts but maybe the young simply wanted to finish the game and was unaware of the seriousness of the injury? Maybe only a Xray would have confirmed the injury?

I can remember when J.T. broke his ankle in the Michigan game. When you lose a key player late in the season, it can be very critical.

Injuries in football are common place, but you still hate to see someone knocked out for the remainder of the season and at such a critical time.

Harbaugh does not disclose the precise nature of a player's injury. He will say if a player is out for the season but offers only very general comments about the nature of the injury. Not sure if he does this because of HIPPA or to make game preparation difficult for the opposition.

Other rumor re Spright is that he has a separated shoulder of his non throwing arm as opposed to a broken collarbone. If it is a broken collarbone, I thought the healing period would at the least would be 8 weeks.

Michigan under Harbaugh is kind of like North Korea when it comes to providing information to the public --- they provide you only the info they want you to receive.

I think all football coaches are like that, Bill O'Brien hardly acknowledges that any Texan is injured....very Bill Bellichek. I remember Charlie Weis saying before he'd coached a single game that there were rules, and one of them is don't bother to ask about injuries the answer will be the same...he's day to day.

I know the NFL does have rules with regards to this, but I doubt if there are any rules in the NCAA.
