South Carolina does not look like a push over. The Gators score a late 3 points with 4 seconds left in the 1st half to be down by only 2. It probably won't last long, but this 10th place SEC team is giving the Gators all they can handle.
Just over seven minutes left and tied 56 to 56. There have been some exciting games in the SEC this year.
Gators lose this game and they are toast in the NCAA....again. This is the kind of gut check that they have come up woefully short on in the tourney for the last 5 years.
I don't understand the outcome of this game. The only thing I can say is: I feel sorry for LSU. A pissed off Gator team will probably now tear the Tigers into "itsy bitsy pieces"
@#%@#$!% Gamecocks! <t>!@$#~@# Gamecocks! Football team beats us and now their basketball teams beats us twice, ending a 20 = homegame winning streak and hurting our chances to win the East.

But MCG it does not end our chances of advancing further in the NCAA. Let's just hope we do not meet South Carolina in the NCAA.

#@$@~#$

Gator Bill</t>
Bill, The writing is on the wall in dayglo. This Gator team got sucker punched in Columbia and should have annihilated this mediocre .500 team in Gainesville. Alas, when the chips were on the line and it was time to nut up they folded like the last 5 editions of Donovan coached teams. I look for a second round exit to a tough, physical team inside with one hot shooter that Donovan never has an answer for.
